This made me tear up. I was diagnosed with AIDS in 2005 and despite the support from my family and close friends, I dread the stigma associated with being positive. It's time to break stereotypes - Get tested. Get informed. Get involved.

You can not tell if someone has HIV just by looking at them. This game is a good way to teach people this if they are dumb enough to not already know.

is it just me or the gay guys all have aids pretty much??? NOT EVERYONE WHO IS GAY HAS HIV/AIDS! And it's not just a "gay" disease. I get tested at LEAST twice a year, and I'm always careful. But that's not just for gay people. Straight people should do that too!

Do they all have HIV? I kept doing it for what seemed like forever and then the pictures started repeating. I gave up because it was taking way to long. So what happened?

    46. R says – reply to this

      46

Is it me, or is it pretty easy to get 80-90% of these right. First of all, guess Positive on all the black girls. So far, I guessed positive on 5 black girls and was right every time. Secondly, guess positive on anyone who looks a bit like a slut or looks like they could sleep around a lot. (I'm really good at this identifier, its something in the eyes. In this category, I was pulling probably 6 out of 7 or 8.) Finally, you're right probably 80% of the time if you say that someone who is older and gay is positive and almost 100% of the time if you guess that the ugly girl is negative. Face it, the ugly girls just don't get laid enough to be positive. Ya'll can test my theory, but its true. Now I will say this though, its freaky the hot chicks who are HIV positive. Bag it gentleman.

I'm glad you put this up. I volunteer at an HIV/AIDS community center & I was shocked by who did and did not have the disease when I started. This is definitely something to make people more aware, IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE.

    55. Lindsay says – reply to this

      55

Why should only teens and twenty-somethings click? You can be exposed to HIV at any age. It is important for everyone to be educated on the dangers of HIV.

Perez… usually you are so good at this stuff and I don't leave a lot of comments… I usually don't look at them because I think the whole "first" thing is so pointless I get frustrated… but that being said… teens or 20s? If you are ANY age click on that. 30, 40, 50… whatever! Am I wrong?

    58. Britta says – reply to this

      58

Heck yes I got them all right!! I know someone with aids and the story how he got it was that his dad tried to kill him when he was a baby and the dad worked somewhere with medical things where he can easily get needles filled with blood that was postitive and stuck it in him. He's still living which is great.

Thank you for this Perez. I've been spreading awareness on myspace. My mother found out she was HIV+ in 1997. She died of AIDS in 1998. She contracted it sometime after she had me and the disease took over fast. Thanks for the awareness.

      73

this is retarded… you click on the ones who you think have aids, like the non white people and more than likely they DONT have it… its rigged to get the point across that you dont have to be ethnic to have HIV.. lame. a poor shot at getting the message across.

      80

      That game was easy.

If they looked gay - They had HIV.

      What was the point again?

    81. Renee says – reply to this

      81

      that's kinda offensive
the only people that we're positive were the gay men

i wonder what they are trying to say…

    82. bluegirl_76 says – reply to this

      82

What I want to tell young people who say HIV can't happen to them:
HIV can happen to ANYONE, even you. But it is not hard to prevent it.

    83. Matty B says – reply to this

      83

Wow I got like the first ten people right…I'm awesome.

    84. lisa says – reply to this

      84

yeah, i got them all right too. it was obvious when you put marketing/advertising skills together with the faces. not as subjective as the advertising firm thought. but, then, there are a lot of people out there who don't "see" much. i'm sure my ex husband would fail it. still a good thing for young people to see. sure, the one who looks obviously gay wouldn't have it, that would be too easy. kind of like taking a test at school. not trying to put down the thought, just not as effective as it could be.

    85. reesefan says – reply to this

      85

What a great site - good stuff to people thinking…

    86. Joelle says – reply to this

      86

I seriously don't think it's acceptable to turn this into a game….HIV/AIDS should be taken more seriously and not just by guessing or judging someone's picture….you can't tell if anyone is sick or not…you can't.

    87. bostonmale says – reply to this

      87

thank you very much! this is our fight. the media pays so little attention to HIV/AIDS. messaging and prevention information is no longer a focus. when was the last time you saw someone wearing a red ribbon on the red carpet. thank you for directing people to issues that matter. and thanks for all the glorious trash-tastic-ness!

    88. apowermac says – reply to this

      88

Re: Joelle – Hey Joelle - pretty sure that's EXACTLY the point of this "game." That you cannot tell just by looking at someone if they are HIV positive or not. The only way to know for sure is to get an HIV test and the only way to protect yourself is to wear a condom. This game is clearly not trying to make a joke of HIV, it's trying to make a statement about sterotypes and that it's flawed to think you can know for sure what someone's status is just by looking at them.
