What? Not another reality show?
FINALLY!!!!!
Fox is going back to the classics, thankfully.
The station is said to be launching an animated comedy. The first new one in three years!
The concept? A spin-off.
But still. Better than the fake reality shows, like The Hills, right???
As of now, the show will be called Cleveland. And yes, it's a spin-off of the Family Guy.
It is set to launch next Spring.
We love Family Guy, so hopefully this doesn't suck too hard!
Cleveland is expected to air 13 episodes, and staffers are already being hired for the show.
Fox must really love Seth MacFarlane!
The last two animated shows on Fox were Family Guy and American Dad, both created by MacFarlene.
There's also talks of two new cartoons joining the network if they get approved, The Pitts and Sit Down, Shut Up.
There's also four non-cartoon shows set to land on Fox's schedule.
Let's hope this marks a trend of more scripted shows and less "reality" tv.

Family Guy and American Dad are two of my fave shows… they always make me laugh out loud. But a spin-off centered on Cleveland? I'm not sure that's the way to go. Maybe Quagmire… that could potentially be X-rated hilarity.

Family Guy sucks. It is decidedly unfunny and ham-handed. Every time I cruise past it I think of the inane sitcom featured in the movie Robocop. However, the sitcom in Robocop was intended to highlight the vacuous nature of television. Family Guy illustrates the timidity of the satire proffered in Robocop to skewer American tastes in “entertainment."
I would like to say any Family Guy spin-off has about as much of a chance of surviving as a spin-off of Jewelry Television’s The Watch Show; however I fear this, too, underestimates America’s ability to wallow in crapulence.

All you guys who are thinking that cleveland isn't a great character for a spin-off are stupid. Stewie and Quagmire are the obvious choices, but they're the OBVIOUS choices. A Stewie or Quagmire spin-off would be a bigger failure than the cleveland spin off.
Anyone who dislikes Family Guy obviously has no sense of humor. I support this all the way, very excited about it. Seth MacFarlane is fucking genius!
