The singer's Back to Black collaborator, Mark Ronson, was set to work on her for the theme song to the new James Bond film, but that didn't pan out.
Why????
Says Mark: "We did work on it but we never finished it. I don’t think it will happen unless by some miracle it gets recorded and someone sings on it. I’m not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet.”
Ouch!
For her part, Winehouse's rep released the following - very politically correct - statement: “Mark presented a track to Amy, but she had other ideas about the direction it should take. We’re sure they will continue to make great music together.”
We're sure they will continue to make great music together too, unless Amy is dead or in jail. Both very likely scenarios!

I love Amy Winehouse–but I sensed this would happen again. There is something very Courtnety Love-like about her. Indeed, she is this generation's Janis Joplin, which is not really a good thing outside of the great music. And I see that people are really dickish toward people with drug problems. We ALL have vices–be it food, chronic sex with strangers, alcohol, addiction to danger, the Internet, destructive relationships etc. So enough assholism. Amy Winehouse is the best goddamned thing this younger generation HAS. She knows REAL music and deserves a lot more respect. It's very easy to sit behind a computer at 16 and talk all kinds of shit.

Amy Winehouse has the most incredible voice I've heard in years. Celine. Mariah, Beyonce and so many others are packaged and trying to emulate other performers. Amy is one of a kind and it's been years since I've heard such an incredible voice. It's a real tradgedy to watch her self destruct but sometimes one needs to hit rock bottom to find a new appreciation for life and a God given talent like hers.

When the music video for rehab first came out she was so stunning. This pict of her shows a shell of what she used to be. Her body seems to frail to do anything, let alone belt out songs.

Her dad can't just step in like Britney's dad did. Britney had a medical problem, and Wino has personal problems. She will not get help if she does not want it. Otherwise, she will end up going to rehab and start back up as soon as she is out. She needs an intervention where her closest friends and family tell her that she is out of their lives unless she gets help. She needs to realize how bad this really is, and if she doesn't, she will never get the help she needs. Unfortunately I do not see her living long enough to get help.
