Here Comes The Sequel!

Iron Man, Marvel's first self-produced film, made an amazing $100+ million over the weekend. And it's made over $200 million worldwide already in only five days of being released!!

So, it's no surprise that Iron Man 2 is already in the works.

It even has a release date!

Iron Man 2 is set tentatively scheduled to be released on April 30, 2010.

Talk about moving quickly!

And Marvel's movie, titled The Avengers, even has a release date. It's set to come out in July 2011. We smell a 4th of July release date happening.

Things are looking well for Marvel, who's also set to release The Incredible Hulk later this summer, along with Punisher: War Zone in December.

It appears 2011 will mark an "Avengers"-themed summer for Marvel. It's The First Avenger: Captain America is set to be release on May 6, 2011, followed of course by the July release of The Avengers.

    How is it news that a sequel is in the works? The whole cast and Jon Favreau signed contracts to do three movies before they even filmed the first one. Do your research.

    P Nasty you HAVE to see this movie! It was off the chains!!! I JUST got back from seeing it in Boston and the first thing I said when they started rolling the credits was, "I hope the filmed part 2 while they filmed part 1!" P.S. the only annoying thing about superhero movies these days… what is the f-ing deal with red head superhero girlfriends?!?! We all know they prefer blonde's or sexy latino brunetts, but gingers?!?! I think not.

    Even though The Iron Man Trailer was a huge draw of fans and moviegoers, the reason for the high take this past weekend was all the 'Dark Knight' fans who were waiting to see the latest and very long trailer for The Dark Knight which comes out in July. It blows anything else out of the water. If Iron Man took in 110 million nationwide, I know for sure Dark Knight will double it easily. EASILY.

    that iron man movie was totally awesome both actingwise and effectswise. most of these marvel comics movies have been really good and got me reading my bro's scary large comics collection. he says they're basically going redo every marvel superhero as a summer blockbuster, his quote was "dozens if they can make money". i never paid attention to that scene, it seemed guyish to me, but after the first spider-man movie, i've been hooked. as long as they can make more movies like spider-man, hulk, and fantastic four, i'll keep forking over cash!
