The reviews for the Sex and the City movie are starting to roll in and it's looking good for Carrie and the girls!
Whew, there was a part of us that feared our beloved TV show was gonna get one of those cheesy, Hollywood film treatments.
Oprah watched the movie last week and gave it her stamp of approval. During the special SATC dedicated show, O mentioned numerous times that the pic will not disappoint.
And, now, the New York Daily News raves that the movie 'proves that a great reunion is possible.'

alright, i've never seen the show, but, it's so pathetic how they've trotted out these horse-face, lesbian, cougar slags to try and get a few thousand (maybe) out of us. jesus, if ANYBODY goes to see their retro, faghag, dried-up tired-ass lounge act, i will be really surprised. i can almost smell the rot on them coming from the picture.
You know what? The movie (if it's halfway decent) will make $$$$ because it'll entertain me. Would I wear most of the cheap-lookin trashy outfits that Parker wears in the show? No. (By the way, she has a weird body….skinny tho) Would I be an honest to god whore at 50 like Samantha? No. Would I date the butchest, ugly even for a guy, person that Miranda hangs with? No. And hopefully I'm smart enough not to let some weasel that I'm blowing video the event and throw it on the net like Kristin Davis. But I'll see the movie cause it will entertain me. So there.
I didn't know this before. Miranda had a lesbo fling in SATC once but it didn't work out — on the show. But in real life, Cynthia Nixon had 2 kids with her boyfriend, but she left him for a woman, activist Christine Marinoni. They've been seeing each other for 5 years now. Life imitates art! Heh Heh
They need a black or Hispanic woman on the show too. Just my 2 cents.
I'm telling you- I was in the theatre when a preview showed and when SJP came up on the screen, the audience collectively said "ewwwwww"…i mean she is ROUGH looking in this movie. So you'd have to decide if you could wait for it on DVD where you don't have a couple of hours of ewwwwwwww.

If Oprah gave the film her seal of approval, well then, we know this movie will be fabulous! Oh please. We've given this woman way too much power. Nobody needs her to tell them what to think. She is so alienated from the majority by her fame, money and power she can't possibly know what we'd like.

Women will camp out to get tickets for this movie, it will be a who's who and what's she wearing spectacle, rivaled only by the likes of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Women will get dolled up, as if for a first date and stab into theatres in 5 inch heels, all the whille chattering nervously about Carrie and Big and notions like "happily ever after" and all of you will have egg on your faces.
Okay, I've eaten spaghetti and candies and it's hardly past morning here so I'm a bit wired and psychotic, but carbs aside, the movie will be fantastic!
