Time heals old wound…and so does a lot of money!
In an interview with New York Magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker acknowledges that Kim Cattrall holding out for more money was a good thing for the Sex and the City movie.
She calls Cattrall an emotional psychic, "because this way we made a better movie.”
They could've ended up with the first SATC movie pitched–something SJP calls "a light, summery, Bob Hope–style road movie, with the girls following separate paths."
Sounds sooo blah compared to the movie that's coming our way - weddings and babies and more!
Perhaps SJP said the following cause deep down inside she's scared of KC: “If I had thought it was any of my business at the time what I would have said is, ‘Isn’t it okay for Kim to think that the money wasn’t right?’”
Yeah, yeah…we TOTALLY buy that SJP didn't know that she had the right to butt in. She was one of the producers on the film/show!
Whatevs. The film got made. That's all that matters!
Now, will there be a sequel????

Kim Catrell wanted some more money and some approval for her charaters lines. They called her every name in the book and said she'd killed the project and they would never agree to any of that….now guess, what. Kim Catrell got more money and some script approval for her character. Good for Kim!!

Sarah Jessica Parker is a Massive Cunt. There. I Said It. She and Michael Patrick King evicted Darren Star from the show which infuriated Kim Cattrall, who is a friend of Darren's. Over the years SJP and MPK treated Kim like shit on the show. When the movie script came along Kim knew what she was worth and greedy SJP and MPK ignored her request. Well guess what, Kim ended up winning, she got her money and the minimal creative input she wanted. If there's a sequal I hope she doubles her money. Kim Cattrall MADE that show watchable, not many people like to admit it, but Kim Cattrall's Q scores slaughtered SJP's. Nielsen surveys, blogs…everything bolstered Kim's value…SJP is such a conceited hag, Viva! Kim Cattrall! She's fabulous!
SJP should have never had plastic surgery… she was soooooo pretty before she had her nose/eyes done.
Re: Viva! – Dear Viva - I completely agree… you could tell that by season 4, SJP was writing and producing and directing so much of the show… and it was CRAP!!! The best seasons, the only seasons worth watching were seasons 1 - 3, where the writing was good and the writers were loyal to the characters. SJP's ego got HUGE and SATC fans suffered because of it.

That's actually true. I lived in NYC at the peak of SAC, and the only reason why i got into the show was because of Kim C.
You know it was hilarious seeing all this pathetic Carrie wannabes walking down the street. Like it didn't occur to them that it was a freaking tv show not reality, and you know people were laughing at these clowns who thought they were looking so "fabulous".
