  26. #26 - Lilo says – reply to this

Doctors suggest they be weaned off the bottle by the time they start walking which is around 1-year. They should also start being weaned off pacifiers around the same time.

  27. #27 - lj says – reply to this

Usually around 1 they want you to start transitioning to a cup from a bottle. She will have what they call bottle tooth rot!

  28. #28 - Mary says – reply to this

A little old, but it is probably the only thing that soothes the child.

  29. #29 - mom from nj says – reply to this

YES! Most pediatricians recommend babies not have a bottle after 1 year! She's got to get rid of it before it starts to kill her teeth.

  30. #30 - Lisa Cowell says – reply to this

    NO PEREZ, IT ISN'T

  31. #31 - Judi says – reply to this

Is it a Scientology thing?I saw that Leah Remini's daughter is almost 4 and she still has a bottle, shes a Scientologist,so maybe it is one of their "beliefs"All I know,is it looks ridiculous, both my girls were off the bottles by age 1,but I know everyone is different.

  32. #32 - awood says – reply to this

    haha i think you're right!

Yes… time for a sippy cup!

  40. #40 - mhm says – reply to this

    yea

  41. #41 - Mandiee says – reply to this

I have one kid that is 4 and one on the way so speaking as a mom she should start weening soon. I have seen kids that are the same age as my oldest with a bottle. Sucking is a hard habbit to break!

  42. #42 - Kate says – reply to this

Absolutely far too old. She should have been switched onto a sippy cup by MAXIMUM 18 months and then be on a regular cup by 2.5 years old.

Milk or juice in a bottle, constantly, leads to tooth decay. Daddy Cruise should listen to his pediatric dentist!

  43. #43 - jennifer says – reply to this

    Yes!

  44. #44 - andy says – reply to this

    not sure

  45. #45 - Brooke says – reply to this

    no, not at all.

  49. #49 - Miranda says – reply to this

    Nah, still normal.

  50. #50 - michelel says – reply to this

not at all…2 is still bottle time

  51. #51 - Reno Girl says – reply to this

I would think a sippy cup but some kids use the bottle as a soother and it is more like a safety blanket or stuffed animal. With all the paparazzi flashing lights at her I am sure she needs the bottle occasionally. Give the kid a break and the parents too!

  52. #52 - Baby Doc says – reply to this

Pediatricians recommend that bottles are discontinued at 1 year of age.

  53. #53 - Anja says – reply to this

Actually, in stressed situations (as I imagine this is for her) or for cuddling, it is accepted that 2 year olds still use the bottle. Although, not for that much longer.

  54. #54 - megan says – reply to this

yes. they are supposed to stop around age 1.

  55. #55 - Lisa says – reply to this

She should be up to a sippy cup now.

  56. #56 - Stanford Child Dev Professor says – reply to this

Not really…As long as they brush Suri's teeth before she goes to sleep then she should be fine. The problem with bottles is that the juice sits on the teeth all night and no one ever brushes the child's teeth.
Sucking in a young child is very important. It actually stimulates brain development. Bottles, blankets, binkys etc all act as a stress reliever and the sucking motion is a source of comfort. You take the bottle away when THE CHILD is ready otherwise not satisfying the sucking sensation will lead to oral fixations later on in life, such as smoking and eating disorders.

There you have it! Keep that bottle Suri! Stimulate all sorts of brain development!
    -Stanford Professor

  57. #57 - Jenny says – reply to this

Um why yes it is Perez! My kids were off bottles and onto sippy cups by 2. Shame on Tom! haha.

  58. #58 - Amy says – reply to this

Yeah she should be using a sippy cup! I work with two year olds and if any of them have a bottle I tell the parent not to send it!

  59. #59 - Ashley says – reply to this

Um…it's due time for a sippy cup…that's just weird. And holding her with a blanket around her? She's not an infant anymore…her body is doing quite well regulating its own temperature.

  60. #60 - sm says – reply to this

    not necessarily, perez!

  61. #61 - Angeline says – reply to this

Yeah. She should definitely have a sippy cup by now.

  62. #62 - momma says – reply to this

    No, it's not

  63. #63 - carizo805 says – reply to this

    YES!

  64. #64 - Joe says – reply to this

Sippy Cup at 2 years old is fine.

Bottle at 2 years old means parents need to let the child grow up.

  65. #65 - Angie says – reply to this

Yeah she is too old for the bottle. It's time for a sippy cup hello!!! don't they teach them that at Scientology camp?school?whatever they go to???

  66. #66 - Chase says – reply to this

I am wondering if it's a Scientology thing….just read in the People magazine that Leah Remni (who also practices Scientology) still lets her daughter have around 8 bottles a night. She's around 4 years old. As a mother of 2 young children, this is weird!!

  67. #67 - ff says – reply to this

    super lame

  68. #68 - poop says – reply to this

    POOP 1ST

  69. #69 - mama says – reply to this

  71. #71 - his career is over says – reply to this

  72. #72 - crystal renteria says – reply to this

actually yes it is,it should stop @ one so as not to mess up teeth….

  73. #73 - mae says – reply to this

    no def not too old.

  74. #74 - KoKo says – reply to this

    Hell yes, it is.

  75. #75 - Perez Girl says – reply to this

  83. #83 - Erin says – reply to this

NO - IT'S FINE - no need to rush things!!

  84. #84 - cr says – reply to this

    It´s Not!!!!!!!!!!

  85. #85 - anonymous says – reply to this

    UH, YEAH THAT'S TOO OLD…..

    BUT……………

Scientologist believe the child is in charge and can do whatever they want…therefore, she can drink from a bottle until she's 25 if she wants to. They do NOT force their children to follow rules or do anything

  86. #86 - lindy says – reply to this

no…2 years old is not too old to suck a bottle. LEAVE THEM ALONE, PEREZ.

  87. #87 - erik sosa says – reply to this

not if its only done at events. It's a managable solution for anight on the town.

  88. #88 - jerkface jones says – reply to this

    second!!!!

  89. #89 - leah says – reply to this

Some kids still have bottles at 5. It is not recommended for them to have them after they get teeth but many parents give their kids bottles way beyond the recommended time lines.

  90. #90 - Mama2Iggy says – reply to this

As a mother of an almost two year old who never received a bottle, I'll say "Yes."

  91. #91 - sasha says – reply to this

NOO!! IT IS NOT! SHES STILL A BABY DUMBASS

  92. #92 - huh says – reply to this

that type of bottle is meant for a newborn.

  93. #93 - a mom says – reply to this

yes….usually try to get babies totally off the bottle by about 18 months…

  94. #94 - wang says – reply to this

I don't see the big deal. My daughter is 20 months and still likes her milk in a bottle. She drinks water out of sippys and regular cups but I let her have bottles because she likes it. who cares?

  95. #95 - lellyxbelle says – reply to this

at least its not the boob

  96. #96 - girlboy says – reply to this

    HEY O

    no not too old!

  97. #97 - brittbritt says – reply to this

FIRST! that is definitely too old to be drinking out of a bottle. her teeth are going to be fucked up. i guess scientologists don't believe in dentists either.

  98. #98 - Cazzzyyy says – reply to this

im not too sure but i heard that scientologists must give their kids whatever they want so maybe thats the case here

  99. #99 - mae says – reply to this

she JUST turned two. sippy cups and bottles are completely normal. leave the child alone.

  100. #100 - Momof3 says – reply to this
