The actress plays Voletta Wallace, mother of Biggie Smalls (Christopher Wallace).

      Yes Perez! We sit here believing that you are anxiously waiting for the Tupac movie to get made. Let's face it, you are more interested in outing people than seeing African-Americans glorified.       No one wants to see a movie about rapper that were shot! It's the thinning out of the herd. They all should be shot and then we can return to the business of proper pop records.

      This is sad. She's doing TV and small-budget movies. She has the looks and talent to be playing bigger roles than this. I wouldn't mind if she "starred" in a weekly TV show, not a sidekick or co-player like ER. I don't know if she wouldn't do the casting couch thing, or she was too high-minded, but time has surely passed Angela by. She's almost 50 and she should be starring in Broadway plays. A Raisin in the Sun would have been perfect for her.
      But most Black actresses (exc. Halle) have problems getting really good gritty roles, and truth be told, most White actresses too. Look at Gwen Paltrow who is now the Girlfriend to Iron Man. Women need to write & produce their own stuff. Get their own movie studios. Whatever it takes.

      Im confused!! Someone actually wrote a biopic of the life of Biggie Smalls for the big screen. Is this really possible. Are you sure this isnt going to be a BET special. What great things did Biggie do in his short lifetime?       Biggie was always absolutely ridiculous looking. In pictures, always frowning, trying to look scary and menacing. A wanna-be thug. I never fell for it - he just looked like a stupid poser to me. And he's a VERY bad influence on kids. I worked with very poor inner-city kids for 4 yrs, and I know this for a fact - he helped inspire a very dangerous, fuck-you attitude. The kids I worked with don't give a shit about school - they're only impressed by how Fiddy got shot 9 times and lived. To them, that's a real achievement - something that he somehow "earned," not that he was just fucking lucky. What is the message this entertainers are sending - all that matters is money, no matter how you get it; police are your enemy; selling drugs is a legitimate business, and if the police arrest you for it, then it's racial discrimination; women are bitches - fuck 'em, and then discard them. They're disposable. That is the legacy that Biggie left behind. I think that it's completely embarrasing that they're making a movie about him. If they glorify him, I hope that all African American leaders speak out against the movie.
