A Cannes insider has revealed to us that Mischa Barton will be at the film festival later this month to promote one of the few things she's done post-The O.C, a pic entitled You and I.
Yeah, it's that cheesy lesbian drama with those chicks from the washed-up pop group!
Mushy plays a Russian teen named Lana who falls in love with an American teen after meeting at a t.A.T.u concert. The two are then swept into a dangerous world of obsession, drug abuse and murder.
Sounds like a crap movie to us. No wonder Mushy starred in it!
We don't think the movie is in competition at Cannes. It will most likely just be screening.
Do they need to go through all that trouble for a movie that is gonna bomb, if it even gets released????

I'm really looking forward to a film that she's got coming out this year called "Assassination of a Hgh School President," with Bruce Willis. I've seen the trailer and it looks like the film avoids all the cliches. I actually quite like Mischa as an actress and think shes has a very engaging screen presence and gave a very intelligent performance in "Closing the Ring." No one can cry on screen like Mischa can. She always creates moments of 'truth' in a scene.
I hope this movie is good and you'll have to eat your words. I don't know her from shit but I do know that it's not unheard of for young ones who can finally be free to express their sexuality to also get caught up in drugs. Just because a film is "playing" at Cannes, doesn't mean it is having a major screening or is up for any competition. The festival is a film market - - and this is just one of a million films for sale at the festival. I repped a film at Cannes once and went to many screenings that sucked. Cannes is mostly about selling B-grade semi-erotic films, crappy faux action films and a ton of horror flicks.
i personlly think that tatu should of gotten a better actress to play that role instead of mischa,i have nothing against her i just dont like her acting,anyways i cant judge the movie until i see it.

I swear to god i cannot wait for this movie! It's about my absolute favourite group of all time, t.A.T.u, and it contains one of the main actresses from my absolute favourite tv show of all time, the OC. This is hopefully gonna be major, and with the t.A.T.u album "Waste Management" coming up (and from what i've heard so far, like Belyi Plaschik, Vremya Luni, Little People, You and I etc.) it sounds very, very promising. Hopefully this will be a massive year for Lena and Yulia, and this movie should be rly rly good. Can't wait!
