The Australian actor is supposedly thinking about taking on the role of Norman Maine in the stage adaptation of the 1954 film A Star is Born.
Jackman is credited with turning the musical The Boy From Oz into a huge money-making, award-winning sensation.
We're sure he would do the same for A Star is Born.
The current plan for A Star is Born is to put it into workshop this year and open in 2009 or 2010.

Don't forget that Dorothy Parker was one of the 3 Oscar nominated screenwriters on the 1937 version based on an original story by the directorWilliam Wellman. Broadway legend Moss Hart did the screenplay of the 1954 version.
Jackman is a fine actor and comes from a musical theater background with some impressive credentials.
