Ladies and homos, get ready!

The hotness that is Hugh Jackman is likely headed back to Broadway!

The Australian actor is supposedly thinking about taking on the role of Norman Maine in the stage adaptation of the 1954 film A Star is Born.

Jackman is credited with turning the musical The Boy From Oz into a huge money-making, award-winning sensation.

We're sure he would do the same for A Star is Born.

The current plan for A Star is Born is to put it into workshop this year and open in 2009 or 2010.

That's too long from now!!!

      I Love Hugh!! and I am so there I have been waiting for him to come back to broadway forever! He is not gay, he has a lovely wife and a beautiful family. In case you haven't notice acting in different character modes is part of being an actor, besides if he didn't do it well then he wouldn't be where he is today. Unlike other people who call themselves actors but can't act for shit!

      This is the third Judy Garland film turned into a Broadway musical (The Wiz and Meet Me in St Louis) if you discount the Broadway musicals that were turned in Judy Garland vehicles when they reached the screen (Girl Crazy, Babes in Arms, Strike Up the Band)>
      Don't forget that Dorothy Parker was one of the 3 Oscar nominated screenwriters on the 1937 version based on an original story by the directorWilliam Wellman. Broadway legend Moss Hart did the screenplay of the 1954 version.

      Jackman is a fine actor and comes from a musical theater background with some impressive credentials.
