Since his release from jail on Tuesday, Pete Doherty has vowed to make an effort to stay drug free.
Doperty told the British media, "I'm going to try to keep it together."
Doesn't sound very determined to us. Using the word 'try' is not very convincing!
Dopehead called life in lock up 'hard' and now that he's free he 'doesn't want to think about it too much'.
Maybe he SHOULD think about it too much!
If he should reach for a crackpipe again, we hope the images of prison come flooding back to him so he DOESN'T take a hit.

You should spend more time making fun of the recreational weekend users, like your buddy Paris, who are still able to make a clearheaded decision about their drug use. They should know it's just plain stupid to try these drugs now, as we know from watching Pete, Amy and the others who have tumbled into the disease.
Learn from their mistakes and hope for their recovery. And teach our children well.

I love lying around, doing fuck all, feeling like absolute garbage when I can't get the drugs I'm addicted to. Fortunately, I feel like this over weed for only a few days, cigarettes on the other hand … I could be smoking all day. Coke … if I ever had enough money, would probably be a serious problem. But I imagine it helps in song writing. Weed only seems to take you so far.

Dopamine is like, really nice to have, it makes you like, pay attention and shit. I bet Zyban would help coke withdrawal to some extent. Dopamine reuptake inhibitors would at least let the brain make most of the dopamine that is available. It would be scary to see what would happen if you took coke and zyban at the same time though.
It'd probably feel really really good and fuck you up in the long term even more.

Lets boycott all Pete Doherty news until he dies. Hopefully soon, so I don't have to hear about him going into rehab for the 12th time or being arrested for drugs for the 20th time. 1.) Baby Shambles is not a very good band. They're decent at best. If they were really good, then people outside of on island on the planet would listen to them. So his talent is definitely questionable (don't mix him in with Amy Winhouse).
2.)Drug Addiction is an unfortunate compulsion. But comparing it as a disease to cancer is reprehensible. Getting cancer (besides cigarette-related lung cancer and alcohol related liver disease) is not something someone brings upon themselves. It is not a controllable completely self caused thing. Sticking a needle in your arm does not make a disease. Kicking the HABIT is ungodly tough and a horrible compulsion. But whining and crying and trying to blame someone other than yourlself is an awful thing. Don't compare drug addiction to kids with cancer. Grow up and take ownership of your issues. 12 steps my ass. Own up to your own fuck ups.

Well perez if you knew anything about Recovery, "try" is really all you can say. Anyone new recoveree can go around saying "I'm going to stay clean" and then what do you know, the next day, week, month, year, they are back out again. So i give him props at least saying he's going to try. But the program only works if you go to meetings and get a sponsor.

People only focus on his drug problems and the media never let him make a move without covering it, trying to catch him out at every turn. He's said in the past that he was going to quit and stuff but never stood by his word. At least this time, he's a bit honest and uses the words "TRY to get clean" instead of "I'm off drugs".
This way he won't dissapoint us, (us being his fans), family and friends over and over again like he used to.
