According to Billboard, Diamond is on his way to nabbing the #1 album spot next week with his new release, Home Before Dark.
Madonna's Hard Candy could be knocked from the top by…Neil Diamond?

Another interesting factoid: if Neil Diamond does indeed secure the #1, it will be his first ever in the forty plus years he's been in the biz.
Billboard does make an interesting point. Mother's Day is this weekend and Neil Diamond is totally mommy music. We might even pick up Neil for our mom!

I'm young and love Neil Diamond, as do many of my friends. Qualitymusic and artists transcend eras. Madonna was never that talented, she knew how to market her sexuality. Now she is 50, humping 28 yr olds and putting out club music so she can remain relevant. Sad.
I live in Tulsa, OK and tickets went on sale for a Neil Diamond concert at the new BOK center in October last Saturday 5/3/08 and were sold out by Sunday night!
