R. Kelly's request to postpone his child porno case hearing was officially DENIED by the judge on Friday.

We mentioned earlier that the judge was probs going to decide on the postponement motion today.

We're glad that it fell on its face as expected!

It's about time that things got underway.

The case has been unresolved for 6 years!!!!

Now if only they would let cameras in the courtroom. That would be off the hook!

Justice can be served AND we could have some entertainment!

      My cousin got in trouble for having sex with his 16 year old girlfriend and he was only 18. The girl's mother even testified that her daughter was chasing him but they put him on the sex offender list. It is not fair. I have no sympathy for R. Kelly. He was a grown man and she was just a little girl. He should not be able to buy his way out of this. My cousin is black and a handsome young gentleman who deserved a break but didn't get it.       Perez - I found it interesting that you have decided this mans guilt. But even more amazing that you are so certain that he will be convicted. Lets look at what evidence we have - it took the prosecution 6 years to get themselves together to try the case. They have a ridiculous wide time frame for the alleged incident (a first year law student could trump all over it) They have a supposed victim who swears it is not her and no way to prove otherwise that is not hearsay and conjecture. The prosecution has skwat other than to rely on jury prejudice and preconceived notions. Now I am not saying the man is innocent, but I am saying that I am concerned if he is convicted with little to no evidence If that is the type of convictions and justice we have in the country then we all need to beware. This is what the prosecution has - no witnesses, an unauthenticated video tape, a victim that denies being the victim, an unsubstantiated pattern of behavior, hearsay, conjecture, and ( according to the Chicago Press) a secret bombshell witness to say that he has done it before.
