i live in clearwater! my cousin was the judge for this hearing. the judges aunt taught nick @st.cecilias catholic school! im glad my cousin gave him 8 months! judge federico did a great job! my cousin rocks!!!!
The judge threw the book at this kid. Considering he was a minor, and the DUI was thrown out, it is a pretty stiff penalty. Prosecuters are chompin' at the bit for this stuff. 8 months in jail (probably 49th St), 5 years probabtion, 3 year suspended license is a really big ream for a negligent accident. Remember the DUI was thrown out and not taken into consideration. It just goes to show all of us how careful we have to be driving. Drive the speed limit, don't run red lights, use your turn signal. This kid could be any one of us on a bad night when we are out fuckin' around and not using our heads.
Perez-lay off…he did the right thing, he took responsibility…no one won this…I have to give Nick credit, they did not play any excuse cards…he took his punishment like a man….I had lost my respect for him when the accident took place but his actions today have restored it. I hope I never see him in the news again…sad for everyone involved.
