A 24-year-old's body is not supposed to look like THAT!

Wino's bloated belly is the result of severe malnutrition and abuse.

When will she finally get her act together???

Amy, and a musician pal, soaked up the sun outside of a recording studio in Henley, U.K. on Sunday.

Get help. Lots of it. For a while!

      No, its true… anorexia/bulemia causes ascites, which is an accumulation of fluid in the stomach due to protein deficiency. Ever wonder why starving kids in Africa they show in those public service accouncements have swollen bellys? same idea here….

      i don't know if she has an eating disorder or if the extreme weight is due to her drug abuse. this is a common side effect, whereas, an eating disorder is a seperate disease. either way, it is unfortunate and hopefully she will soon get the help she needs.

      Unfortunately, I know for a fact that this is not an eating disorder, perse. Drug addicts have a tendency to be repulsed by food while they are looking for a fix. And, unlike someone who smokes pot or even drinks, they do not crave food while high either. Speed and heroin also tend to cause a person to burn a massive ammount of calories. This is why people like Kurt Cobain, Anthony Kiedis, John Frusciante and, of course, Amy Winehouse, looked so gaunt and starved during their "drug years". Heroin use and detox can also both cause I person to become violently ill, forcing out any remote substances they may have ingested in the first place. The bloat you see in these pictures is known as "coke bloat" and is similar to what you see in starving children whose stomach's become distended and give the almost illusion of pregnancy even. The lack of food and sustaining substance in the stomach is replaced by air, causing the stomach to distend while the rest of the body remains skeleton like. She's not pregnant (I'd be amazed if she was even able to become so in the state she's currently in) and I'm willing to bet she's never had an eating disorder where she intentionally did not eat or forcefully threw up for the sake of her body image (however, for the sake of her habit, maybe).
