It's Official: Scrubs to ABC!

Zach Braff just posted a MySpace bulletin that confirms "one of the worst-kept secrets in town" — that Scrubs is indeed moving from NBC to ABC.
It is a rare rare move for a series to move from one network to another!
Here's the bulletin for those of you who aren't 'friends' with Zach:

Subject: Scrubs moves to ABCDear friends,
Many of you have been understandably confused by the Fairy Tale episode of Scrubs serving as the series finale. It was not. I was not allowed to say it until today, but Scrubs will be moving to ABC for its final season. We are currently filming the 8th and final season. The true finale of the show will air on ABC in the fall. NBC merely promoted the Fairy Tale episode as the finale, as it was the last episode they owned.
Also, several of you were very confused by the fact that Dr. Kelso and Laverne were still working at the hospital in the Fairy Tale episode. Because of the writer's strike, the last remaining episodes for NBC were aired out of order. This is why Dr. Kelso was still chief of medicine. That was not Laverne however, for those of you who have been following closely; it was a new nurse "Shirley" who no one thinks looks anything like Laverne except for JD.
Hope this clears some things up.

Didn't know people still watched the show. I liked it in the beginning, it was different and kind of clever. Television just sucks period, with the exception of 30 Rock (which hasn't been as clever since the writer's strike) and The Office. Man, I miss Seinfeld and Arrested Development. I look at the DVDs over and over as if it's my first time seeing them and I still laugh out loud.
He is so adorable. Id continue to watch him no matter what network!

This decrepit, tired show was *meant* to have only lasted 5 years max. 5 years!!!!!!!! Yet, these greedy, stupid bastards keep prolonging the agony. 
Probably because the cast KNOWS this is their one and only gravy train and they're trying to keep it going for as long as they can so they can avoid invetiable chronic future-unemployment.

Love Scrubs. But Season 7 felt incomplete. So, I'm hoping season 8 brings a proper conclusion to the show. Sure it has lots of dumb things in it. But, it's entertainment, and Scrubs entertains.

Thank you, Perez. I love Scrubs and was confused by last week's episode. I did figure it was an out-of-order episode, which is so disrespectful on the part of NBC. I am glad ABC will show its last season. Scrubs deserves it!

Re: Yvette – This isn't a fan site, you know. It's a place to be honest about your feelings regarding the subject. Stupid "Scrubs" HAD a chance to go out on top, but they blew it by hanging on and hanging on. Now the fuck up of this year and their soon-to-be-ill-fated ABC run (think "Diff'rent Strokes" on ABC after 9 years on NBC) will be what's remembered. Their legacy of a fuck up.

Switching networks used to occur constantly in the 60s/70s. You can say it's "rare" these days, but it has happened often throughout the past fifty years.
who cares? I care! I love this show! it's one of the few shows worth watching on a regular basis!! Yay!!!!
This guy is lucky. Garden State was very good, but I absolutley do not get Zach Braff's sexual appeal. I mean, it's kind of gross to think about him that way. And he's tapped some famous ass, right? Ewww.

Re: jen – Monk and Psych are still shown on USA… Universal owns NBC and USA and are showing both of those shows on both networks to help NCB's ratings and to gain new fans for both shows.

Hopefully this 8th season will be better than the 7th. This past season started to get bad towards the end. I still love the show, but the earlier episodes were terrific!
I LOVE Zach Braff, I think he is the hottest thing alive. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE SCRUBS. That is my all time Favorite show. I am so sad to see it go next year. I loved and truly enjoyed EVERY episode. I think the cast is wonderful and the storyline amusing. I told my husband that if Zach ever came knocking at my door…. well I'd hafta say see ya, and choose Zach. hee hee. I am a die hard fan. Keep up the good work SCRUBS. Love ya.
