Watch out Blair, looks like there's going to be two new bitches on the block.
The Gossip Girl channel just announced that it picked up a show called Surviving the Filthy Rich.
The new program centers on a Yale graduate who has moved to Manhattan, but nothing is going as planned. When her job at a tabloid magazine turns sour, she accepts a position working for infamous teenage twins who are filthy rich, and unmarketable, as far as their grandmother and upper-echelon colleges are concerned. If the Yale grad gets the twins into an A-list university she'll get loads of money that will wipe out her student loans.
Hmmmm….based on anyone we know???
This would've been the perfect show for the Olsen twins….10 years ago.

This is a book.. I read it about a year ago. Cute book but I have no idea how they will make it a tv show. And it will probably just be as bad as Nanny Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada (AWESOME books… bad adaptions)

Yeah this is definitely a teenie bopper chick flick book I read it and actually liked it…yeah im a sucker for corny books but yeah the girl who has to tutor them puts up with their pranks and stuff and she meets a fabulous gay man who transforms her into someone the twins can relate to. Its cute but it probably won't be spectacular.
I think I've had more creative pieces floating in my toilet…

Yeah I read the book too. It was kind lame, and kind of cheesy with the rich girls learning new things and becoming better people and blah blah unrealistcally blah. I can see how it would work for tv though, as long as the writing doesnt suck and it serves up lots of ridiculousness, which it no doubt will considering Gossip Girl is on this network. And that show is nuts. Hilarious.

Yes it is based on the book "How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls" and the majority of the book is based in Palm Beach - only the beginning is based in Manhattan…It will be interesting to see how they will adapt it for the small screen. Looking forward to it!!

Read the book and it was great. Most of it is based in Palm Beach, FL and the social society there. Very entertaining if you are familiar with the area. Not sure how they will adapt it though.

if you go to Yale or most ivy league schools, your tuition is paid for through grants. she shouldn't have a debt problem after college. sounds like a small fact to neglect, but since it affects the reality of the show, its a big thing to overlook.
