First of all, I want to say I like Barbara Walters. Not sure I agree with her writing about an affair that she had 30 years ago, but that was her decision. Regarding Star: She knew they were going to fire her, so she was hurt and took it out on everyone. It's a tough business, but when the ratings are going down because of you, then you have to go. Star is the one who's to blame for not opening up about her surgery. She sure didn't mind talking about her breast augmentation when she phoned in from the hospital after having it done. Did she really think people would fall for the "portion control" and "Pilates" story when you were talking about someone as large as her? I also think her weight helped make her famous. She was this big, straight shooting, former attorney who spoke her mind. It's how everyone got to know her. It seemed like after she lost her weight, she became this prima donna that really grated on people's nerves. I think her failed show gives us an idea of what her future in show business looks like.

first of all, star jones did not loose her weight with pilates. she sat on her big fat ass in front of the camera and lied to all of her fans and to the public. this is what made people dislike her. Barbara was just telling the truth and being honest. That does not make Barbara ignorant or hateful like Star cried in her little statement. In this situation, both are in the wrong. But, honestly barbara is not to blame for this. Star should blame her self for not telling everyone when she could have.
