Indy won't fare the same fate as Speed Racer!

Industry insiders predict that Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will open at $162 million minimum!!

HUGE!

Indy opens the Thursday of the loooong Memorial Weekend, so receipts over a 5-day period will go towards its opening numbers.

Let's hope Paramount won't lie to us about opening weekend figures!

We'll be paying close attention.

      I SERIOUSLY doubt Indiana Jones will make anywhere close to that. It's such an 80's movie and Harrison Ford is beyond ancient. Look for a big disappointment and an early dvd release. Todays hit movies are classic superheros and modern topics. This is like re-doing ET. No one cares.

      Has anyone stopped to think that maybe these conviently dropped comments right before the movie opens is an attempt to drum up interest and get people excited to go see it if they think that everyone else is going to see it?       Perez, movie studios don't usually lie. They sometimes inflate numbers, but often they do not. Iron Man did make over 100 million when you factor in Thursday night sneak previews at the beginning of its run.
