I love British pop bands, (they are still going strong over there after they died out here) but they do break up too quickly. Groups like Liberty X, Blue, Westlife, Atomic Kitten and the Spice Girls are only around long enough to get the fame and money then they break up b/c everyone in the group suddenly thinks they can make it on their own. Nadine & Cheryl have the best voices of Girls Aloud and surprisingly they've stayed together for 5 years, but no ones sure how long it's going to last. Give them 10 years after breaking up and they will reunite like everyone else is.

They all have wonderful voices, they are beautiful, business savvy and at the moment, they are on a 56 show SELL OUT tour. Every show is SOLD OUT!

I'm from N. Ireland, and I don't quite understand why you are saying that Perez is being ignorant on this issue - I normally would be the first to call him out on something, but he is justified here in what he is saying. "Anglophilia" relates to the band itself obviously (an English-produced band), and N. Ireland IS, whether you, I, or anyone else likes it, part of the United Kingdom. I consider myself Irish or N. Irish, but hold a British passport (for the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland"), yet have the option to have an Irish passport, and my decision on that in the future will be based on pragmatic issues (who offers the best protection abroad etc.) Many consider themselves in N. Ireland to be Irish (from the island of Ireland), some consider themselves British (even though we are not part of Britain, but the U.K. instead, as the front of the passport indicates). These are all moot points in terms of Perez though in the face of the reality that N. Ireland is part of the U.K. To avoid all of this wrangling I say frequently now that I am from Ireland. Full stop - it usually ends the questions.

It is not by choice that many people in Northern Ireland wish to be part of the United kingdom. it stems back to the bully tactics of Lloyd george in 1922 at the signing of the treaty when he hinted at irreperable damage if Michael Collins did not sign the treaty. The very problem with Northern Ireland lies with people like you. remember "gerrymandering??" The rugby team of Ireland represents the island. Norther Ireland have their own government in which there is powersharing. In the future , who knows? The people could democratically elect to reunite … If you are so fascinated with anglo culture … go and live in England. Queen Elizabeth "planted" Ulster in 1604 and many scottish and English lords took control of the land and forced the Irish to pay them rents. If that is the Anglo pride that you speak of, shame on you. history has taught us you nothing. the Irish government even have granted the Orange Order which is pro Union a ggrant of a few million Euro this year to show that it is really trying to acknowledge the part of history that can never be changed. these are healing times. I for one, have lived all over the world and am fluent in gaelic, french and Italian. I am so proud of being from a country that has produced so many wonderful figures in the face of oppression and torment. we were nearly wiped out as a race but survived and furthermore strived. I am also so proud that the Irish are doing so unbelievably well now and deal with Northern Ireland in a mature and diplomatic way. The Irish are informal but so warm and kind. we are also very close to our American cousins and the majority of us stand by them. You know, i have heard Dubliners saying they are a Dub, Conemara people saying they are different, Kerry people claiming to be from the Kingdom (and it is a kingdom), Corkonians claiming to be from the Republic of Cork!!!! When i speak Gaelic in Conemara, they claim i am from the "five counties!!!" Indicating the counties that still speak gaelic !!! As if it is a seperate Ireland … so Norther Ireland may be at the north of Ireland … but is has Ireland in its name and it IS Ireland. Nadine Coyle is from DERRY NOT LONDONDERRY!!!!!
