I'm in london, and all the pictures in the papers are shocking! She looks 100 years old, and nothing like the pictures we usually see. I am a fan, love her style, but have been amazed at how un-SJP she looks, more like SJP's deluded great great aunt, dressing up in clothes from from the youthful airbrushed SJP we know and love. I guess there comes a point when no amount of lighting can help.

I'd rather see SJP on the cover of a magazine than the usual ultra-skinny teen models, or plasticized Hollywood clones. No, she doesn't have what we are led to believe is conventional beauty, but she has something! Both she, and her character Carrie are loved the world over. Maybe it's her personality and down to earth attitude. As for this particular shot, she looks wonderfully glamorous, but the way her mouth is open is a bit odd. She is not pretty and it is ok that they didn't do any photoshop to it, HOWEVER, its a pretty horrible picture. The photographer should have helped her to use a better pose, close the mouth and level her eyebrows (one is upper than the other). That would have helped. I think they purposedly choose this pix, maybe they don't like her much at Vogue!
