This is a great cause..My grandmother and her family are the family with the biggest genetic history of this disease. My grandmother has had this disease for over 20 years, and she is the strongest person I know. My aunt, uncle and father could possibly have this gene, as well as myself, siblings and cousins…and possibly my future children. Please donate to this cause, it is so important!! Thank you :)

It is hard to deal with, my father, aunts uncles, me, my siblings, cousins live with the fact that YES we might also develop this as we age…please donate to this cause….

    Thank you

Thank you Perez! My father had Parkinsons and was one of the few who was diagnosed in his 40's. He passed away at only 62 and never once complained about getting this horrible disease. No one understands what a horrible disease this is until someone close to you is diagnosed. Thank you.

    Love to donate.
But we need to make sure that all cures -not just stem cell research - are part of the agenda.
    There's surgeries and meds.
    EVERYTHING needs to be promoted.
    Love the MICHAEL.

Thank you Perez…my husband was just diagnosed at the beginning of the year and he is only 38. Its because of people like Michael J. Fox that the treatment options for this disease have come such a long way and will hopefully continue to do so.

Please donate to this cause, I truely believe we are close to a cure! My dad passed away June 9th 2007 from complications of the disease. He was diagnosed in his 30's with early onset Parkinson's and had 2 unsuccessful brain surgerys. No one should have to struggle like I saw him struggle! Please donate!!!!!! Miss you Dad!

Thanx Perez! My grandfather died of PD 7 years ago. he was one of the most intelligent and strong people I knew… it was so hard to see the disease effect him and his abilities, although he was deteriorating on the outside, you could tell he was still mentally strong and not able to use it. He was in numerous trials, and it's organizations like MJFF that allow us to fight the disease. Please donate to this cause!

This is a great cause because the money you give to them helps fund stem cell research that not only will help cure Parkinson's Disease but could also help cure all kinds of other diseases. My grandfather who suffered from Parkinson's passed away two years ago and every year since my theatre group has donated to this Foundation in memory of him. Thank you Perez for bringing this to your reader's attention! It means a lot to me.

Perez - thank you for posting something for such a wonderful cause. My father is 55 and was diagnosed over 10 years ago. It is great to see someone using their popularity for something like this.

Thanks for posting this Perez! My momma has been battling Parkinson's for over 13 years and Michael J does really really great work for the cause. God bless him!

  30. Joanie says – reply to this

Perez, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this. This disease is a terrible disease to have. My father, who is 54 years old has had this disease for 8 years already and has gone through 2 surgeries for it. I want nothing more than my father to be able to do things the way he used to do. I want him to walk me down the aisle one day, and I hope and pray he will be able to do that. To all the people who posted on their families and their loved ones who are suffering from PD, I will continue to pray for you guys. Please support the cause!

  31. Adolph Oliver O'Ring says – reply to this

Nice try, Perez, but telling your mom you were just twitching from Parkinson's when she caught you jerking off a street hustler didn't work then, and it won't work now. You're a big headed homo. Accept it.

my father is suffering from the disease. had the brain surgery in january but we notic he was getting worse, come to find out he has been over medicated for over a year….MIRAPEX. by 4 1/2 pills PER DAY more than recommended by FDA. research your fam member medication so this doesnt happen to you and insurance dont help social security dont even cover meds let 'lone living expenses……

  33. spark says – reply to this

My father has it. It's sooo hard to watch him sometimes. Just imagine your brain is fully functional and aware but your body "freezes" and can't move when you need to and other days you have the shakes and you can't stop your body moving. It's hard. Thanks Perez!

You want to know how to PREVENT Parkinson's? STOP DRINKING DIET SODAS!!! The aspartame in all those diet sodas and sugar free gums turns into formaldehyde in your body and deposits into your cells. Aspartame also leaches calcium out of your bones too. Aspartame has been linked to cause Parkinson's, remember how M.J. Fox used to be the spokesperson for DIET PEPSI??? I bet he got all the free diet pepsi he ever wanted and look where it got him…

  37. Jeremy says – reply to this

My grandfather died last year due to complications of Parkinson's disease. He lived with it for over 15 years and to see him and his body deteriorate was the most heart-breaking thing I have ever gone through. I miss him tremendously and I would not wish this disease on anyone…please don't let more people suffer!

  38. S says – reply to this

Thank you for posting this Perez! My dad has had Parkinson's since her was 36. He is turning 53 this year and probably won't be able to walk within another year. This is such a good cause and this is a disease that they truly get closer and closer to a cure every year. Thank you for spreading awareness.

  39. altgirl says – reply to this

There's an alternative treatment for PD with intravenous Glucathione therapy, there's also a hopeful alternative with NeuroTransmitter Restoration programs. Too bad it's alternative, restorative and strengthening/rebuilding the body. The only research covered is conventional drugs or surgery….

  40. Rachel says – reply to this

Thank you for posting this. My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's in his late 30's. He had Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery on Monday, May 12. This disease is terrible, but we are a strong family and we pray for a cure on a daily basis.

I find this to be a very worthwhile cause. currently i'm doing research with parkinsons patients and doing rehab stuff. we i'm working with a girl doing her masters and we are seeing the affects of the gait trainer and aerobic exercise! and i can tell you, these people are 90 years old and they are willing to do 26mins three times a week on the tredmill to see what the benefits are! these people are so willing. so thanks everyone who donated, its a worthwhile cause.

thank you so much for posting this my father too has parkinsons and is in his late 50's and has had it since he was 30. i really encourage people to donate to this cause as it is not widely known and people do not realize how detrimental this disease it. as it often comes hand in hand with depression as well being limited to certain actions and preventing you from performing daily actions such as speech is incredibly frustrating and tragic. please please please donate so we can eventually find a treatment for this!

  50. Lo says – reply to this

Thanks so much Perez! My grandfather lost his 30 year long battle with this disease about 8 years ago. It is such a horrible disease and there is not enough information about it at all! Thanks sooo much for helping to get the word out there so we can try and find a cure!

I love MJF! and it is very sad to watch him. I talked to him once (solely to tell him that parents weren't allowed on the side of the soccer field that he was standing on) and have seen him around my school many times. It is so sad to see him shaking and walking with a cane while his 12 or 13 year-old daughters stand there watching. Sure they have a lot of money, but no young kid should have to watch their father deal with something so horrible as this.

I love Michael J. Fox. From Bacl To the Future and all the sequels (that I didnt really see but the first one is so great) to Family Ties where his star quality is undeniable. I just so love that man. He seems to be a wonderful husband and FATHER. Just a self-made, decent human-being, STAR that we have among us. Michael, we love you. Thank you. Thank yopu for being so strong and having priorities and a moral compass to be exemplary in such difficult, humbling circumstances.
Now, what, i am supppsed to give money? Ok. You know What? I will!! - am just SO HAPPY to see someone on Perez Hilton dot com that is so dear to my heart. UN like jessica, jessica, madonna, mariah, etc. Etc.
    Michael J. Fox!!
    Love you!!

    Please donate everybody!

My father suffers from this disease. He was about 42 when he got it, but it took them years to figure out what it was, it was horible. He thaougt he was going to die, and as a 10 year old kid you don't really understand what is going on, except that maybe your father is going to die. he's turning 50 this summer, and feeling much better. but he constantly wears this little package on him, that pumps medicine directly into him, it's horrible, but it works. PLEASE everybody, donate just a small amount, we really gotta work to get this thing down!
