Janet Jackson is going to be joining Madonna and Tina Turner as they criss cross around America and the world in the Autumn.
That's right, Janet is going on tour!!!!!
What makes this especially exciting is that Miz Jackson hasn't hit the road since 2001. For those of you bad with math, that's SEVEN years ago….almost a DECADE!
So, expect this outing to be jam-packed with all the hits.
And, we're gonna have something very very special to announce soon with regards to the tour for all of you, our Perezcious readers.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love Janet. She is sweet, sexy as well, and is extremely humble. I have never been to one of her concerts but here that she puts on the MOST LIVE show!!!! Janet puts women half her age to shame, so I say BRAVO MISS JACKSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Redo your math - that's 6 years if she was on tour in 2001 and will be on tour in 2008. Hardly a decade, dummkopf! And she doesn't appear to be incapable of putting up with a tour. Just might be a bad choice if you are up against two other women putting on shows. But why make it sound like she's 50 and overweight?! WHy not make a real point about it instead of making it sound so dramatic?!

Love Janet, I just don't know why she hasn't worked with any good producers and video directors in years. Her past few videos sucked and someone needs to remind her this isn't the 90s anymore. At least Madonna is smart enough to know who to work with.

Sounds like somebody (Perez) is forgetting exactly WHY Janet hasn't toured in 7 years - because her current albums were all tanking & her record company was unwilling to throw money away sending her out on tour. After all, if they can't be confident that people would pay $15 for her music, then they couldn't be confident they'd fork over $100 to go see a show - especially since Janet would never be unwilling to go into smaller venues on a tour, to cut costs for the company. Hence, the company wasn't willing to fund any tour of hers & that's why you didn't see her in 7 years on the road.
She's with Def Jam now, and you know her cock-a-roach boyfriend was gonna pull strings to get her out there again. If JD didn't have stroke in that company, it's be the same thing all over again - a company not being willing to throw money away by funding some grandiose arena tour for an artist who doesn't sell anymore. That's perfect - throw $$$ away to fund an arena tour for an artist whose albums haven't sold in 7 years, and have her perform in half-empty arenas all over the country, making it impossible for the record company to make back its money. Gee that's good business. Comes down to who you know in this case, clearly.
And btw, I've been a lifelong Janet fan, but I know business & she's not making any anymore. And don't tell me that "no one sells records like they used to". Keep your excuses. Tell that to Alicia Keys, who sold 700,000+ units the first week. Tell it to Mary J., who sold 618,000+ copies the first week. Tell it to Beyonce who hits platinum in a matter of weeks of an album release. Tell it to Justin, who sold 700,000+ copies his first week. Clearly there ARE artists who still sell big numbers. Janet's just not one of them.
Perez, glad you think this is exciting news, but the truth is that this tour is happening because her boyfriend pulled some strings. No viable company would back an arena tour for an artist that hasn't had a hit in 7 years, unless someone put in a good work. Her numbers damn sure don't. No harm intended to Ms. Jackson btw.

I saw Janet in concert after the Velvet Rope was released. It was by far the most disappointing concert I have ever been to in my life.
She came on stage 40 minutes late and insisted on costume changes after every song which meant there was five minute music intermissions after every song. In total I think she would have been on stage for about 60 minutes.. oh and she MIMED the entire thing.

I have not read the post but I'm sure there is nothing but a lot of haters posting negativity. All I got to say is that I've been to all of Janet's concerts since Rhythm Nation back in 1990 and SHE FUCKIN ROCKS! Y'all can hate on that girl as much as you want but you can never take away the fact that she is truly a very talented artist. I have yet to see any female artist who can touch her as far as her dancing. Yes, Paula Abdul is fierce but she does not have Janet's edge.
