We can't stop talking about it - and it hasn't even aired yet!

According to TV Guide, the producers of 90210 (2.0) are having a hell of a time casting the role of dad to the 'new' Brenda and Brandon characters.

The actors who've come in to read for the part just don't fit what the producers have in mind.

With the production's start date growing ever nearer, show execs have reportedly begun considering desperate measures, even thinking of bypassing the audition process and just offering the role to a "name."

And, there is one "name" they're seriously considering above other….former Melrose Place star Rob Estes.

Do it Rob!

You're not doing anything, right?

And, while they're at it, they should totally find a way for Amanda Woodward to be on 90210 (2.0) too!!!!!

      Rob is on Women's Murder Club. His character, though, is not in the novels, so he could be written out and they could give Angie Harmon the proper love interests in line with the books.
      And WMC IS NOT CANCELLED. It got moved to a new night at the ABC upfronts.

      Yes! Yes! Yes! He's our man! Kelly Taylor should be the rich mom who doesn't work, not a school counselor. Who did she ever care about when she was in school? She should be like the mom on Gossip Girls who used to be bad, but now wants to be bad but is sort of good, but still bad. He and Amanda could be the rich parents who built that house on that lot before she broke up with him and then we didn't see it but they got back together and had an actual life!!!!       To set the record straight, while there are episodes still playing on TV - the last will aired last night. Think about it the plot arc that defined the main character, that is the mystery of the Kiss Me Not killer and Det. Lindsay Boxer, was solved in that episode. So yes, the show could have continued, but the book is closed.

      I'll definitely miss it, but the bottomline is that Rob Estes is free.

      Women's Murder Club has officially been cancelled by ABC. It's not coming back in the fall so Rob will be available to do 90210.

      Rob Estes is actually working on Womens's Murder Club, and that happens to be a very good show on ABC i think.
