Jack Bauer die-hards, you won't have to wait ’til 2009 to see new episodes of the hit show 24.

Fox is gifting you with a two-hour "prequel event", slated to air Sunday, November 23rd.

The prequel will set the stage for season 7, which is set to premiere in January 2009.

You'll see Jack's old 'pal' Tony Almeida in the prequel!

Hell no. eff 24 and eff FOX. the screwed fans over by making us wait until 2009. I'm a die hard 24 fan–I have all the boxed set DVD's and watched it religiously–even in re-runs, but I don't even care anymore. I started watching Entourage instead. Plus, how the hell are they going to bring Tony Back? Christopher Henderson killed him in season 5. One o the things I loved about the show was it's practicality. Brining Tony back (unless it's in flashbacks) is not going to be believeable. And, who cares about a pre-quel? It would be better for them to start the season early or even in the summer and do re-runs, but to make fans suffer because of the writers strike by making us wait over a year is ridiculous. I'm sorry to say but I just don't care anymore. Sorry Jack….we'll always have CTU.

Re: well anyway – Lol. . .wow, is this post from Brad Grey? Dude. . .take it easy. I was really into this show–so much so that I've followed the entire plot, but I think it's unreasonable for FOX to expect fans to wait just because they didn't feel comfrtable running the show in partial seasons. A lot of shows had to buckle down after the writers strike and work hard to crank out episodes in order to keep their fanbase. Why should 24 be any different. I'm not the only person that feels this way. I just think it's unfortunate because the show was truly awsome, but a lot of viewers don't want to hang on that long–myself included. I can't even remember the ending of season 6. I'm not launching a 24 boycott or anything, but I think the show's ratings will suffer because of it's long absense. Enjoy the pre-quel on the 23rd, but I'll be watching Entourage instead.

One of things you loved about the show was its PRACTICALITY???? How "practical" is it that Jack nearly DIED *several* times within a 24 hour period and could still beat up the bad guys??? That is "practical"…. nevertheless, I am a die-hard 24 fan and am excited to see the movie
