She was in France (because her husband was employed by the U.S. government) and decided to attend culinary school in France. So, actually I think her entire life story would be quite interesting.

As much as I'd like to say she had a lesbian relationship, before you go assuming she did, you have to refer to her recent book that was published before she died called "My Life In France" she was married to a man for years and years until his death.

Actually, the wedding shoot was her sister's wedding (played by Jane Lynch)…I was doing background yesterday and both Meryl and Jane were so nice and professional! It was the best experience on set I have ever had. It got really cold towards the end and the crew were grabbing coats in between takes for the extras! And the food was fantastic!

Saw Streep in a screening of Doubt on Monday. She was fantastic. Some of the best work I have ever seen her do.

Is it just me or does anyone else realize that the movie is based on a book with the same title? It's about a woman (Julie) that decides to cook every recipe in Julia Childs' art of french cooking book. The book was terrible so I can't imagine a movie with the same premise being any better.
This isn't my First Look–I saw her in People like two weeks ago. It's amazing how much credibility you have given that so much of what you write is inaccurate, biased, and/or misspelled.
Good, there will be a worthy movie to see this summer.

Okay, first off I love your site but please do not make fun or speculate about the dead. Mrs. Child was a very beloved figure and model for many people out there who cannot wait to see this movie. She was also VERY much in love with her husband, Paul Child and took very good care of him until the day he died. Hollywood is fair to take pot shots at, they deserve most of it, but leave Juila alone. Yeah I know she's dead.
