Kelsey Grammer just won't let it go.
His show, Back to You, was canceled by Fox after one season, but he's desperate to keep it on air!
What has he resorted to???
Grammer has lobbied ANOTHER network to pick it up!
It's not unheard of for another net to pick up a cancelled show (i.e. ABC and Scrubs)…though it is rare.
But, the CBS executives he hit up basically said NO WAY.
Grammer said, "I really believe in the show. If I didn't, I wouldn't have tried to fight for it."
Let it go.
If it's as good as he said it was, people would've watched and another network would have happily taken it on!
It's embarrassing.

ABC always owned the rights to Scrubs via Touchstone, and NBC was just "borrowing" it. They're contract ended at the end of the 7th season, which got cut short because of the strike. The actors and crew wanted to do a proper last season and a proper good bye to the show, so they are airing it on ABC.

I really liked that show. I didnt think it would be any good but I gave it a shot and actually like it!

Read the fucking ratings Perez. While the show was just OK, Til Death got lower ratings on the same night and got renewed.

He should; it's a good show. Just because it's a traditional sitcom doesn't mean it's bad or unfunny. Not every comedy has to be single camera/no laugh track. At least it's not another reality show.

1. The show IS funny, and getting better each week. Why should he walk away from so much hard work when the show has potential?
2. The show is on Fox - not known for sitcoms - so I'd expect it to take a little while to find an audience. If every show were dumped right away, we wouldn't have Cheers, Seinfeld and a ton of others.
3. You clearly haven't seen the show and haven't a clue . From someone with as lame a show as your own, there's no way you should be passing judgment.
Oh, Perez, let K Gram be. I am personally upset that "Moonlight" was cancelled. And just because a show gets lots of viewers does not mean that it's good. TV caters to the lowest common denominator. Quality comes second because people are just dying to see D list stars dancing, etc. Grammer's show could have been victim to a bad time slot.

The show sucks, plain and simple. It sucks. I have never watched such a boring piece of junk before. I'm surprised it wasn't dropped after the first episode.
It WAS a good show, Perez. Fox is probably the most money-grubbing, lowest-common-denominator net anywhere (with a couple of notable exceptions) and this show deserves to get a longer run and a chance to build an audience. Kelsey Grammer should take it to one of the cable nets where there might be someone in authority with more than two working brain cells. And frankly, this show had something The Hills, The OC and all the other stupid "reality" shows lack: smarts. Perez, when you're around Speidi and Lauren et al, can you actually feel your IQ dropping?
Mr. "Perez", it's such a shame that you criticize him and call him embarrassing for fighting for something he believes in. Thats a beautiful part of the human spirit, a point lost on you. I never saw the show but some of the clips I have seen were funny. I bet their salaries are too high for any network to take a chance. They were both probably getting a ton of money, it isn't like they were new to this right?

That was a good show and certainly more entertaining than some of the stupid ass reality shows that are coming up in the new season. I hope someone with half a brain at another network figures this out and decides to pick up the show. How many reality shows do we really need??

Author Staci Robinson is suing The CW, its owners and some producers for $40 million for allegedly stealing the concept of her unpublished novel to create the sitcom "The Game," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The writer claims that in 2001, she had interviewed for a job as a writers assistant at Kelsey Grammer's Gramnet Prods. when she gave a manuscript of her novel to "Game" executive producer Mara Brock Akil. The suit, filed Sept. 14, alleges that the series copies her premise and the characters in the book.
She names the CW and its owners, CBS and Warner Bros., Akil and Gramnet as defendants.

I'm glad people on here are standing up for this very well written and acted show. I'm not usually a fan of situational comedies "taped in front of a live audience" but the everything just gelled with this one. The episodes got consistently funnier and there wasn't too much with their home lives. Probably a little more real than the Office. I hope Chuck and Kelly keep doin' it for another season. Let's not forgot FOX was the ones to cancel a great show like Firefly after one season too.
