There was a time when SJP was hot, when she was in Hocus Pocus. Now she does look a little horsey. And this must be why the movie blows, bc no one can relate to an ugly person who thinks theyre sexy.

Look, the movie will never live up to the series.
The shows were funny, smart, great writing, clever editing, wonderful character development, no story arc went forever and we could indulge in our own time.
Now, the movie has turned into this big money making machine for SJP and the producers.
We used to think it was about us, because everyone knew a Carrie, a Samantha, a Charlotte and a Miranda.
All of us for the most part, are a little of each of the characters.
To complicate things, the show - even sanitized - is on the regular airwaves. I haven't been given a chance to have the ladies move on.
In addition, this thing has been so promoted, so sold out, so parceled out to every media outlet that SATC - the movie just doesn't have the same lure as the show.
I'd love to know how the characters get on with their lives.
But I have to wonder, do I really want to rehash my SATC experience like this?

It is amazing the negative comments that have been posted regarding SJP's looks. No, she is not conventionally beautiful, but why does she have to be? Do all lead female roles have to be played by the stereotypical, blonde, boob-jobbed, cosmetically altered bimbos whom we are told typify what we should regard as a beautiful woman? There is more to a woman than her looks, and that is why Parker's character, Carrie, is one of the most loved and popular of recent TV series. Women can identify with her trials and tribulations. Of course, the picture chosen is one that is least flattering to Parker. In many of the others that have been taken of her recently during the promotion of the film, she looks radiant. The only thing I find disturbing is her extreme tninness. She looks like she needs a good feed on a regular basis. Maybe even she has succumbed to the current trend of "the thinner the better".

The review wasn't THAT bad. You just picked out the worst tibits. THis movie will be huge, I don't know if it will have staying power, but all the fams will go at least once, and I think it's great they gave the longtime fans what we wanted - a movie! We weren't ready for the series to end. Can't wait for opening day!
I realize that SJP has had a little work done on her nose…however, I disagree with people saying that if she's bothered to have any surgery, it should make no difference for her to get 8 procedures done and look "perfect". I think it's great that she kept her individual appearance despite having a chance to change it completely. I'm tired of everyone in hollywood looking the same

The HBO series was getting sappy toward the end and the series finale was the sappiest of all. A poor movie review is actually not that surprising. The increasing age of the ladies doesn't help either.
This woman is thin–okay. She is loved by some designers–okay. Somebody, it should be so unbelievably easy, somebody has GOT TO guide her concerning her hair, how it best would serve her face.
