Speaking Out On Equality

The California Supreme Court took a stance for equality on Thursday.
By overturning the archaic ban on gay marriage, the judges reaffirmed their belief that all residents of this great state should be treated the same under the law.
Now, a few prominent members of the LGBT community are speaking out to The Advocate about this historic day!
Ellen DeGeneres:
"I’m thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote.

actually we aren't putting aside differences, we are going one way by legalizing gay marriage. Everytime i've met a lesbian or seen a real one on tv or one commenting on something they all have one thing in common. When I heard this I was so excited! I can't believe all the negative comments I have seen on here! My mother is a lesbian. She has been for 13 years. I agreed with what she had to say. I am a heterosexual and was married for 15 years, but I am a person that believes that ALL American citizens should be treated equally. Whether they are of a different color, or Muslim, Catholic, etc….you get it.
If we don't want to treat ALL citizens equally under the law, then the people that are not treated equally should not have to pay taxes. Why should they, when they are not treated like all others? Make that the law, and EVERYBODY would be fine with gay marriage.

Marriage is sacred and has been ordained to be between a man and a woman for the sacred privilege of procreation. Gay marriage is not legal in the highest law of the land and that is the Holy Bible.
