Still Stayin' Alive!
Filed under: Music Minute > Film Flickers
Bee Gee brother Robin Gibb revealed recently that the bros should have a musical based on their greatest hits ready within the next 18 months.
Sexual!
This will be a follow up to their first foray into musical theater, Saturday Night Fever.
Fever premiered in London's West End in 1998 and stayed alive for 2 years.
The Bee Gees are song writing geniuses. We hope they develop a story line for the musical that's up to par with their tunes.
Mamma Mia may not be deep, but it's fucking fun! We picture the same - Bee Gee style.

Rock on. I love the Bee Gees!
First!
Duh…hubs loves them but they are classics…so was the double pizza move. Dang Travolta was zexy!
By the way… who gives a flying fuck who is first to comment? No one! What a waste of space and you don't even have anything intelligent to say. Give it a fucking rest, please. or grow up or something.
firrrrsssttttttt beyotches!
Ran into their auntie at the So Beach Publix…very down 2 earth.
ok,mayb not……but the beegee's rock!
This is so cool! I'll be there. But I thought Robin died…..
By inference, your use of this particular picture implies all 3 of the BeeGees are working on this project but that is impossible, given that Maurice (on the right in the photo) died over 4 years ago during emergency surgery.
Do your homework, Perez.
Um, not really staying alive since Maurice, the one with the stupid hat, is dead.
The middle one looks like the caveman from the Geico commercials…
The Bee Gee's are totally genious! I love them….
Re: MizJesster –
he's showing the original line up, retard. if he didn't, you would have been bitching that he wasn't showing respect to the brother that passed away. keep trying to act smarter. you might get there one of these days.
ha ha ha ha stayin alive stayin alive stayin aliiiiivvvvve! LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
AWESOME!
The Bee Gees are amazing talent - they are definitely are song writing geniuses!
Good for them, their music deserves to be made into a musical!
If anyone has ever seen the Documentary on thier lives ( not the One Night Stand DVD ) including all thier hits and ups and downs - Being written off as " broken hearted BEE GEES " way past thier used by date / by all critics in mid 70's and to then Barry Gibb discovering he an sign in HIGH HIGH FALSETTO THEN come back with SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and blow the whole music industry out of the water and ….Its Incredible !!!! Check it out !!!
is that barry or the geico caveman?
The Bee Gees have true talent… god bless 'em.
yeah! i can't wait..yeeee
um…..you do know that maurice is dead……right?
Awwww….I miss Maurice. Great band
I love the Bee Gees. Barry was incredibly hot back in the day, around the 1980's….with his lionesque mane of hair, great smile and wearing tight white pants….his wife was soooo lucky. aw well…
Robin and Barry have seemed lost since Maurice died. This will be a nice tribute to him. I hope it's wildly successful.
Re: McKenna – Ha ha. I was thinking the same thing. Total 79's-80's hottie.
Once read Barry Gibb's style of singing in the "Saturday Night Fever Days" described as "castrato". Sure the Bee Gees were good in their day, and came out with some great music some of which defined the 80s. Who can forget the filmclip for "Staying Alive", the three of them strutting along with Barry all hair and tight, white, satin suit? Maybe that's how he got to sing so high? It will be interesting to see what the two remaining brothers come up with.
They are still "bros", but they're down to two remaining since Maurice died a few years ago…. you might mention that when you show of photo of the trio.
*sigh* sooooo dreamy haha
taking my teenage kids to see the Bee Gees live in concert was so much fun years ago. There was a lot of joy there. Music that will live on for many generations. Miss you Maurice-rest well.
Oh my! I still remember when I had a huge crush on Barry, and he is still nice-looking for an old guy. Though I miss the Jesus-look. I tend to always fall for men that look like that! Don't know why, I just do!
Mamma Mia was so great.
The Bee Gees are AWESOME! Thanks for posting this Perez! I have a huge crush on Robin… and may his twin, Maurice, rest in peace.
People who use the term 'sexual' as a synonym for 'good' should be beaten to death with meat tenderizing mallets in front of their loved ones.

The Bee Gees rock.
I can only hope that this does good by Maurice. He was truly the backbone and brain of the Bee Gees (IMO). I love their music and honestly hope this does nothing to make anyone think badly of them.
JMO
classic writers, vocalists and instrumentalists as well as class 'A' producers.
I still enjoy listening to Their music!
I love Barry Gibb! I miss his hairy chest and feathered hair! The Bee Gees are awesome and I am so sad I never got to see the 3 brothers in concert! R.I.P. Maurice Gibb…you are so missed! God bless the Bee Gees! I hope to meet Barry and Robin someday!
why do some people write FIRST! or cool number 5 or first? I DONT UNDERSTAND!?!?!?
Their pre- disco stuff is just under the Beatles for songwriting. There are 8 or 9 albums they did before Saturday Night Fever that are full of great songs like "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", "Words", "Massachusetts", etc.
my mom was best friends with maurice gibb, and the other band members are just as fabulous as him. love them all
