Shia: Making Solo Indy Movie!

George Lucas revealed that there's a VERY good chance that Indy 5 will happen.
Lucas says that he and director Steven Spielberg have left the door open for a sequel to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which is expected to open to huge numbers next week.
Lucas goes on to say, "I haven’t even told Steven or Harrison (Ford) this…But I have an idea to make Shia (LeBeouf) the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out."

Not talented? Are ya serious? Speaking as a comedian, at 10 years old, in his own show, this kid had awe-inspiring comedic timing and comedic expression! Everyone in the biz knew then that Shia was going to be huge! The kids got natural talent oozing from every pore. How do you judge talent?

I was totally hoping this would happen! I've been a Shia fan since he was the dorky Louis on Even Stevens!
I also will support him. If he sells a pet rock, I'd buy it just to support him and his talent. It is so refreshing to see a young celebrity with true blue bonafide talent. I want to see him succeed because he deserves it and will entertain all of us in the future. Guaranteed.

I think Indiana Jones should be about, well, INDIANA JONES! If Ford isn't on board as the lead character, don't do the movie and taint the rest of the jones films with a crappy last one.

I like Shia…he is a good actor and has a great career ahead of him but I dont think he is the type of person to take over a big franchise like this..making INDY 4 was a treat for the fans and to carry on the series just to make more money is not fair to them.

Excellent idea! I had figured that's why they hired Shia in the first place. He's a great actor, not so bad looking and could carry a whole movie. I'm all for it!!

Ok this is the way I see it:
Shai fans think it would be great! Because shai is a great actor (I do agree). but what shai fans refuse to notice is that Harrison ford is the true "Indiana Jones." Just bc Shia is a great actor does not mean he can replace a classic character.
Indy fans wont like the idea bc it Lucas messing up another classic. (example: star wars)
so its shai fans (Some whom never even seen any indiana jones movie)vs the fans who would like to keep the Indiana jones theme as original as possible.
