Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Mel B. is working on a new album!
Though a release date and record label have yet to be finalized, the artist formerly known as Scary has begun working with some of the biggest producers in the biz.
"Mel is going for a pop sound with a bit of an urban edge," an insider tells us. And her choice of collaborators definitely reflects that.
Scary spent this past week working with Scott Storch, and she's also working with Damon Elliott, JR Rotem, Richie Skillz and Rodney Jerkins on it.
It's all about the music. If the music is good, we're into it!

I'm curious to see what she comes up with–
Children, this album will bomb. Her last one sucked and even had a whack song about L.A. that sounded like a Sheryl Crow rip-off. Who wants to hear pop music by a woman in her 30's with 2 bastard children and an ex-con husband? Pop is all stylish facade and personality, and she is no Gwen Stefani. It will sell about 2 copies more than R. Kelly's first album of chain gang spirituals.
Why doesnt she take a leaf out of Posh Spice's book and quit music for good. The solo thing didnt work out first time round so it's not going to this time either. She had success with the Spice Girls but that's over now, she should quit while she's ahead!
Mel B cannot sing, so I doubt her singing career will go any where. Even if they album sounds good, (and I mean good in a commerical sense) she wont be able to sing it live because her voice is very bad. (And by bad I mean ashlee simpson/ginger spice bad)
I wonder how well this album will do once it gets released. After buying the Robyn the cd i find it hard to listen to any other record and i doubt Mel B can top her.
