It's honestly…not that big of a deal. It looked more sissy than my high schools GIRLS soccer team, and let me tell you watching them is A LOT more fun because A) They're pretty much all gorgeous, and B) They're a lot more ferocious than these pricks.

Obviously, that was a two-footed tackle from behind and deserving of a straight red, but this is going to be all too common for David Beckham in his first full year in the MLS. Call it jealousy, call it what you want, but he's going to be a target. Here's a guy who makes more in one season than the rest of the league COMBINED. So if you're a journeyman defender like Adrian Serioux, you might not take too kindly to this guy and play him a little bit harder than you would somebody else. Again, I'm not defending this kind of play, but merely offering an explanation as to why you're probably going to see more of it. As for David, he better get used to this and find a way to keep his composure over the course of the year or he might find himself hitting the showers early, as well.

I was at this game. He was fouled but it wasn't that big of a deal. There was no need to start a fight about it. Beckham thinks that he is so much better than anyone else that no one can touch him. He kept taunting and teasing the crowd. Dallas hated him. The boo's the in the stadium were deafening.
Ella I was at the game too. The foul could have caused a career ending injury, anybody would have been pissed and reacted that way about it, especially since it was intentional. The crowd was a bit ridiculous to boo him every time he touched the ball. They should have boo'd the officials for all the fouls on Dallas that were not called.
Watched the game and the foul was completely worthy of a red…FIFA rules, tackle from behind, red card. Serioux had been causing issues all game…normal stuff, nothing really bad. The funniest part was Beckham waving "bye" and then sending a kiss… Dallas was done before that…it was already 4-1. Later Beckham served a ball in and Buddle scored. Beckham who had been booed since the foul, gave everyone the "ssshhhh" sign… Too funny… Very normal for football…regarless if he is Beckham or not.

I was sitting right in front of it when it happened and I also sat in on the press conference..
Apparently the Dallas player (Adrian Serioux) said "Welcome baby, welcome" after the tackle took place which caused David to get frustrated and pushed him back. The rules of soccer state that David should have recieved a Red Card and subsuquent ejection from the game but he didn't. (It's the refs call and sometimes it happens.)
David recieved a yellow card and had some interesting things to say at the press conference.
That was kinda funny!

having said that..Wayne Rooney didn't get ejected because of his retaliation against Ronaldo/Carvalho, but rather because he has STEPPED a.k.a. fouled on a player before.
