For Anorexics Only

rachelzoe.jpg

Rachel Zoe is coming out with her own fashion line. For skinny people only, of course.

The 'celebrity' stylist has partnered with The Beanstalk Group Inc. to develop a line of clothes, accessories and panties.

No joke.

Her partners are called 'Beanstalk'!

The project is still in the beginning stages.

You have time to diet and get to Raisinface's fit model size — child's xl!

WOW! I can't believe how little you know about fashion!, considering that you are coming out with a clothing line. Beanstalk Group is a licensing company.
      P.S. How's the diet going?

    21. Miwa says – reply to this

      21

The beanstalk company is a licensing group. Its name has nothing to do with the size of clothing Rachel Zoe will be making.

Though, given that it's Rachel Zoe, it probably only caters to anorexics and/or Hollywood

    47. Jess says – reply to this

      47

She does have a unique stlye, but I agree, she is partly responsible for making girls think the anorexic look is cool and sexy. The reason she looks so much older than her age is becuase she has no fat in her face, and that causes premature wrinkling.

    53. tinygirl says – reply to this

      53

I am 98 pounds and I don't diet. I have to wear childrens size 10 clothes because everything falls off of me. So it is nice to have adult clothes made for tiny people. Too bad I probably wont be able to afford her stuff, though!

    54. emily says – reply to this

      54

just for the record, you can stand 5'3 and weigh 97 lbs (like me, im not an anorexic, im actually a very healthy person and i eat a lot)

overweight people get "plus size" fashion lines, why cant skinny/small people get clothes that fit great for our bodies too? how is that any different?

people stop being jealous, some of us are naturally skinny– NOT anorexic. just like some overweight people are bigger than others– its called nature, dipshit.

      ugh.
because when companies put out a plus-size store, it's totally fine, not discriminating against anyone and pushing equality,
but if people were put out nonexistant "minus-size" places.. it'd be shunned and discriminating against fat people.

perez, some of us have hard time finding clothes that don't fit like potato sacks, we're just small, not anorexic. deal.

      Hey, Perez!

I'm usually a HUGE fan of yours, but I was kind of disgusted with this photo. Speaking as a recovering anorexic, eating disorders are not funny. I've destroyed my health, my family, and my future with mine. Of course, I understand that this is supposed to be taken lightly, but that's hard for me to do at this point. However, keep on doing what you do best!!!!!

Most upmarket designers only make their clothing to British size 14, which I think is American size 8. While constantly denying it, the fashion industry does play a role in making women feel insecure about their body image, hence the increasing incidence of eating disorders. Not only is it harder for larger women to find attractive, well-designed clothing, but they are bombarded with images of ultra-skinny models and "celebrities". Rag mags scrutinize women's bodies and compare them to eachother, and it is well known that when another fad diet is featured, sales increase. Was it a coincidence that when Rachel Zoe was at her peak as a stylist, the women who used her all lost huge amounts of weight to the point of looking skeletal? I wouldn't buy this woman's clothing on principal.

Re: Lilly – maybe that's because most upmarket people aren't fat. Did u ever think about that? I'm appalled at how people like u twist the story to condemn healthy bodies. Since when is fat considered healthy? It's true that savvy business people have created larger sized clothing to get the market share, but I personally would rather hear that overweight people have to diet to fit into high-end clothing, and not the other way around. Under no circumstances do I condone overeating. Health is much more important then feelings. So sorry, your arguement asks me to sympathize with laziness and indulgence and lack of discipline, and that is against logic. Be fat if you choose, but don't blame fashion designers because some girl wants to puke. if u base ur purchasing power on the morals and ethics of the creator then I hope you haven't a single item in your home that says made in china. fat people should feel bad that they are fat. it's unhealthy ad ugly. I'm not evil for saying that…stop softening health issues because heart attacks don't care if your ashamed or unashamed of yourself..they just kill…without discrimination. I'd rather u be thin and mad at me, then fat and i coddle you.

    71. u hate me i hate u ,,now what are we going to do? says – reply to this

      71

it's become popular for fat people to call skinny girls anorexic. It happened to me recently, a girl who is jealous of me for other reasons wanted to jump on that "insult" right away before she presumed, I called her fat. Unfortunately for her, I am nice and dont say what I really feel in fights. I am sweet in a fight, mean behind your back…but anyway she is fat, and fat girls are jealous of us…They need to justify our thinness with a disease because eating normally is far far far from their comprehension. I understand that, so it doesn't bother me.

      74

Re: hurl over beanstalks panties if u want to – Your response completely misses the point of what I am saying. The current trend in fashion which promotes unhealthy thinness has women even within the healthy weight range thinking they are overweight. Also, if a person who is overweight is to lose weight, s/he needs support and encouragement, not condemnation from a person who feels they are superior merely because they are not fat! I wonder what your weaknesses are? Intolerance is one that stands out. Being underweight carries health risks too. For the record, because I criticize the pressure on women to conform to an unhealthy body size, you assume that I must be fat. For the record, I am 165cm tall and 53 kg, at the lower end of the healthy range for my height. You also assert that health and feelings are separate issues. In fact they are highly interdependent. Go and educate yourself.

YOU POINT out body 'flaws' of celebs who arent a size 2-6 or god forbid have cellulite and you wonder why women become anorexic in todays society? YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM PEREZ.
TOO FAT, TOO THIN, no woman can win apparently.
How do you think young girls feel about themselves when they see womens bodies so harshly judged all the time by the media?

    76. MsLove says – reply to this

      76

this line will only do well in hollywood where most women have eating disorders. People in the real world cant afford it AND only like 1% of women are that thin…not much of a money making market in selling clothes to anorexics…oh wait i mean the "naturally thin" yea right…

Sell to the fatties….America is all fat. Youll make lots of money!

    77. it's about time says – reply to this

      77

Finally! I hate finding something I like only to see they only have it in sizes 2 and up. 0 and double 00 aren't made by every designer. I have always been naturally skinny and I think they've changed the size scale where a 2 is really an old 4 and so on… that way a large person will think they fit in a smaller size when trying on clothes. But it makes it harder for skinny people because then the 0 and 00 sizes aren't ordered as much because they seem soooo small that stores only order a few…if any… thinking not a lot of people out there could fit them. It happens to me all the time. The truth is that 0 and 00 is an untapped niche market and those companies who aren't making 0 and 00 are loosing$$$. Raisin face understands and is going to cash in! Let's hope Anna doesn't pan the collection.
