We knew it was only a matter of time before Mariah Carey showed her true divaness.

How could she be content with a small, intimate wedding on the beach to Nick Cannon when she could have a large, lavish, over-priced wedding?

According to an insider, “It’s going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be on the right track."

Mimi's recently told Ellen DeGeneres that the majority of the people at her wedding were "mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress.”

So this time around she really wants to go all out.

The source adds, “She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids.”

Ok, so what was the point of rushing off to get married so quickly if they're going to have a large wedding anyway?

      I'm so happy for Nick and Mariah Cannon. But again, please stop calling him Mr. Carey, Nick is not Kevin Federline or Chris Judd he has his own identity and was very well established before Mariah. If they are in deed going make a big wedding then hey more power to them let Mimi have whatever she wants. At least they are not hiding it like some other couple.

      I hope Mariah is pregnant she would make the most divalicious mother that baby would have everything under the son. I wish them nothing but the best.

      we should have seen this coming…mariah is a big diva so an intimate, private beach wedding didn't really seem like her.this one is going to be a production…idk it kind of makes u respect jay and beyonce a little bit more for trying to keep their wedding private and not some huge media and publicity blitz.

      i read somewhere, maybe here the whole wedding thing was for publicity…DUH!…then the whole magic mountain staged thing (double publicity, double DUH!!) and now the 'REAL' wedding (triple publicity, triple DUH!!!) some phoney 'WE'RE SOOOO HAPPY' t.v and magazine interviews, then when all that dries up, the divorce…and not just some quiet 'LETTING GO' kind of divorce either, after all this is mariah and she does tend to go over the top, so expect a dirty divorce…oh, yeah i forgot fourth and fifth publicity opt, DUH!!!! !!!!!
