New Alanis!

A few months ago, there was a video floating around of Alanis Morissette's that she made for her song Underneath, which was initially made to be screened at a film festival.

Well, the Canadian singer has recorded a new vid for the song, the single off her forthcoming album, and its much different than the original clip.

CLICK HERE to check out the just-release version of the Underneath video!

The buzz surrounding Alanis may have wained, but her uniqueness and brilliance hasn't.

Its been a long time coming, but dare I say, its been worth the wait.

This album has everything. From the political "Citizen of the planet" and "Underneath" (the records lead single) to the heavy "Versions of Violence" and the broody yet jaw dropping "Tapes". "Torch" is tear jerking, as we listen to Alanis recall the things she misses the most about her ex. Where "Not As We" is a calling to 'begin again'. "Straitjacket" is utterly fantastic as Alanis lets her anger bubbles over once again. "Moratorium" is dark and intriguing and then erupts towards the end with one of the greatest instrumentals Alanis and her band have ever produced. "Giggling Again For No Reason" and "Incomplete" will melt your heart and lift your spirits, bringing this album to a stunning climax.

"Flavors Of Entanglement" will inspire and resonate with millions as Alanis struggles with pain, loss and suffering and comes out the other end smiling. Sheer brilliance! Buy it!

Alanis Morissette has like 7 albums I wouldn't call her a one timer and I love the new song, I have already pre-ordered the album. Also, her music is so much better than the shit thats on the radio today. Only in America can people get away with being talentless, this lifestyle of the rich and famous bullshit. People are getting more fucking stupid by the moment. I believe that for every dumb fuck in the world a starving child in Africa or Cambodia should recieve 100,000 dollars.

She is truly amazing and her music is much to meaningful and intelligent for most of the morons that comment on this site. Glad to see so many Alanis fans who appreciate true talent. Not bubble gum disco/techno pop like Britney and so many others. She's so in tune with todays women (over 18) and the things we all go through. I loved the angst of Jagged Little Pill and it was hard to swallow the new image and music she came out with a few years back when she finally got "happy". But I learned to love the new Alanis, her new look & outlook, her beauty, her voice is incredible, shes an amazing person and an amazing musician. Thank you Alanis for bringing us more of your wonderful talent and soul.

alanis is still obviously in love with ryan reynolds…. the man in the video even looked alot like him. artistic choice? she is from vancouver, and very much a hippy. she fills her time with humanitarian activities, but what lies underneath is a broken heart, with all the lies she told herself after her breakup. I loved it.

So, how we treat the world is a reflection of how we treat ourselves? Or, save some compassion for yourself? Or, don't focus on the negative? Or, don't forget to live? Or, let the love in? I liked it and I guess each person will get something out of it. So, it is art. But I am curious of her original intent. I guess I should look at the lyrics more closely.

      Damn straight~! :)
And all of you complaining about her not being angry, so what? She's evolved, man, and obviously knows how to write about her experiences and express herself.
