Some might think he's a queen, but, now, he's officially a prince!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jake Gyllenhaal has been tapped to play the lead role in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Walt Disney is teaming up with Jerry Bruckheimer Films on Prince of Persia, an adaptation of Ubisoft's popular video game.

Production starts in July.

Video game adaptations have kinda sucked in the past.

We hope they break the curse this time!

      Give it a rest why don't you! Oded Fehr played an Arab terrorist in Sleeper Cell on Showtime, and he is Israeli. In fact, he was in the Israeli army! (He also played that hot cool friend of Brendan Fraser's in the first Mummy movie. He is gorgeous…and way too old to play the Prince. Cher played an Italian in Moonstruck. Jennifer Lopez played Italian in Wedding Planner, Angelina Jolie was British in Lara Croft: Tombraider, John Toturro who is Italian, played a Jew in the movie Quiz Show. If you really think about it, there are hundreds of actors who play people of different nationalities all the time. That's why it's called "acting."
