I am a loyal Perez reader/fan and I suffer from Type 1 diabetes. Thanks for putting this up, its important that the general public knows what a widespread and horrible disease this is. Hopefully people will pay more attention because you suggested it. You're awesome.

I absolutely agree with heather! I have type 1 diabetes, and few people understand how prevalent and dangerous it can be because it frequently goes undiagnosed, as many people only know about type 2 diabetes, so many parents don't see the symptoms. This is a great charity to pick, Perez! I have always loved your site, and this is just one more thing I can respect you for; keep going strong!
we know ur trying to redeem ur shitty image as a celeb basher, and this hounding us for money isn't going to do it…why dont u just let whatever proceeds u make from this anger outlet web site of yours go to a charity..ALL of it. then u can prove to us that u really care about the people of the world. Thank you for doing this! I'm 27 years old and I have been diabetic for 23 years. It's a constant struggle. Insulin isn't a CURE, it's a TREATMENT! Diabetes affects every part of the body were blood goes…we have to watch everything. I don't want my daughter to have this one day. So thank you for this worthwhile cause!

Please take time and donate, Type 1 diabetes is a very serious issue and we are making progress of finding a cure.
is no life never ending cycle of check your blood, inject, low,s can kill high,s can kill;; and if your lucky you won,t go blind or lose a limb;;i know the cure is not being looked for;; i pay 700 a month for diabetic drugs, and get this folks this disease infects 4 in 10 people most of them don,t know they have it good luck;; my days are numbered

Get with the times! It's called Type 1 diabetes, not "juvenile" anymore. Adults get Type 1 too and kids with it grow up! Please update this on your site Perez…too many people forget that adults have this too.
My husband has had Type 1 Diabetes since he was 5 years old. I'm so glad to see Perez (and Nick Jonas) raising awareness for this extremely difficult disease. I hope this encourages people to give to a VERY worthwhile cause!

thank you!!!!! I have had type 1 for 22 years and it is so misunderstood. People think it is the same as type 2 and don't understand it isn't controlled with diet nor is it caused by eating too much sugar!

Thank you SO much for posting this!!! My sister died 4 years ago at the age of 34 from complications of juvenile diabetes. For the past 2 years I have walked for a cure here in Monterey, CA. It's SOOO important to be educated about this disease! My sister had a heart attack, stroke, blindness, numb limbs, kidneys stopped working as did her stomach from the neuropathy! If children and parents are not educated this is the horrible outcome. PLEASE WALK FOR A CURE!!!! PLEASE PLEASE! JDRF!! RAISE MONEY FOR A CURE!

I'm so thrilled that Nick Jonas is so open and public with his Type 1 Diabetes and his Omnipod pump.
It's about time some awareness got out there for this disease since so much attention is given to Type 2, the "fat auntie" type of diabetes. So many of us live with this for so many years, from childhood on, and it affects and impacts every part of our lives, every moment of the day, all the time, for the rest of our lives, until it finally kills us. Not to mention it is expensive to us, taxpayers, and health insurance companies.
It's time for a cure!

Hey #15…you're an ass!!! My 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 in January. You can choose not to donate but DO NOT TRASH THOSE THAT WANT TO HELP. This has been a devastating few months for my family and if people want to help…do it. Not because Nick Jonas has it…because my beautiful daughter and many other have it. Perez…you are the biggest freakin' democrate and you hate George Bush…but I still love you. Thanks for supporting JDRF.

Perez, this is awesome! As someone with juvenile diabetes, it's really appreciated that you posted this! So many people think that diabetes is only caused by obesity. I can't tell you how many times I've told someone I'm diabetic and they say "You don't look obese…"

Thank you perez for posting this. Type 1 diabetes is a disease that many people are uninformed about. Honestly i probably wound not know so much about type 1 diabetes if my mother did not have diabetes since she was 13. I am glad to see people helping the search for a cure. Thanks to Nick Jonas too for all he has done to help the search for a cure.
