Air Jordan is Cannes Bound

Straight dudes all over the place will be happy about this!

Spike Lee announced in Cannes on Monday that he is directing a feature-length documentary about Michael 'Air' Jordan, who some argue is the best pro-basketball player in history.

Lee revealed that he hopes to bring the doc to next year's Cannes Festival.

MJ on the Cannes red carpet!

The project will feature previously-unseen footage shot by NBA cameras during the final two years in Jordan's career, the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons.

Michael is just the latest sports star to get the documentary treatment.

Retired boxer Mike Tyson is currently in Cannes, where a film about him is screening.

    OKAY!!! I have a bone 2 pick with SPIKE LEE, if U R reading Spike listen. I am a native from chi-town and I saw MJ at his best, So my question is why are you choosing the last 2 suckiest years of his life on the court when he has such a long life time of acomplishments. Michael Jordan deserves his props. He was better than Colby Bryant in his younger years and that is what you need to highlight. Don't go making another documentry of Colby showing that he is the best. Colby is one of the best because I believe he has emulated ( don't know if i spelled it right) :) Michael Jordans moves throughout his career. Give props where props need to be given. Age slows everybody down. IMO MJ was and is the best b-ball player that ever lived. I was there when he won all the championships, I saw it happen.
