He's seems like an awesome down to earth guy who deserved to win. I was sooo excited when they named him the next idol. I feel as if Daved A. is a robot who has been directed all his life by other people whereas david cook took risks and never lost himsef. I have never voted for American Idol the entire 7 seasons I have watched the show. I voted for David Cook last night repeatedly because I was so scared he wouldn't be the winner. i love david cook and hes waaay more talented than archuleta, but part of me thinks he would have been better off not winning idol because it seems as though the idol corp manipulates the careers of the winners. david cook is talented enough and confident enough to be successful on his own. i think archuleta has the clay aiken syndrome where hes cute for awhile while hes young, but how many sappy old love songs can he really make successful on mainstream radio? the dorky, overly-gracious thing got really annoying. lets hope david cook can make the career he wants and not just what idol producers tell him to. like that annoying overly positive theme song he had to sing at the end!

YES YES YES! I'm ridiculously happy that David Cook won! I was steeling myself for a huge teeny-bopper vote for Archie, and was more than pleasantly surprised! I screamed and jumped actually. =) Archie has a good voice, but he sings the same thing and the same way all time, plus his golly-gee attitude was really annoying.

David Cook is the real deal! Not only only is he vocally talented, but he is true Idol material. He's entertaining and marketable! That Mariah Carey cover ruled! His may be the first entire album I buy in a long time! As well, he seems truly down-to-earth, humble, gracious, natural on camera and stage, funny, nice, caring and a good person. Oh, and he's adorably cute and sexy too! (Yes, I have a crush….so? Hehe.) But I felt like he deserved it and was an early standout.

Now I hope he gets some time off to go home and spend time with his brother.
