Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler has checked in to Las Encinas Hospital, the rehab facility where Dr. Drew practices in Pasadena, CA.
When contacted, Tyler's reps had no comment.
It's not clear what Tyler checked in to battle, though it is reported to be "substance" abuse.

EH, I had a feeling/notion that his engergy at the last concert of theirs I went to wasn't "natural". His engergy was boundless, he did acrobatics, he was AMAZING. But natural…nooo. Not so much. Still the absolute BEST live concert I've ever seen in my whole life is Aerosmith, 199____ can't remember lol.

Steven Tyler was a rock and roll genius, which was brutally murdered when Aerosmith released PUMP. Since then they are a good pop band, nothing genius. That being said, I do wish for his recovery just based off of the Gems album.

I feel the same way. I was one of the actors in one of his rock videos. And yesterday I checked in and out of a rehab facility for substance abuse. It's not pretty.
Tyler has been and IS a top rocker…his address is "THE EDGE" he has been through far worse over the years, he'll go in and come out even better and give us some more of that rockin' music…

It is well known that Steven Tyler has had a long outstanding battle with heroine for many many years.. and the band has knows about his abuse for many years.. it only seems probable that this is yet another relapse as he has been in rehab before

STEVEN TYLER is one of the greatest frontmen to have ever lived and lasted as long as he has. He still rocks every show Brad's Side, Joe's Side and Center Section2! Up and down the ramps, catwalks, stairs..even hung from a trapeze not too long ago. No wonder he needed foot surgery this winter. Probably took too many pain meds and wants to get clean. The guys a health nut..EVERYone knows that. LONG LIVE STEVEN STYLER AND THE HORSE HE RODE IN ON! AEROFREAKINSMITH 4-EVER!

Steven Tyler is STILL ON HEROIN ?AT 60?this guy is almost my mom's age and i find it kinda strange for s/o to take so hard drugs at this age.i guess you can't be that skinny if you r not on junk(the truth is only addicts are so thin).good luck to him cos we all know heroin is such a bad disease.

He probably started back up when his wife left him a while back. I met him a few times and saw him in concert last year, and he is in spectacular shape/condition for a man his age (and after what he's been through!). He'll be OK…

He just turned 60 years old in March. He is on one of the strictest meat and veggie diets and exercises like a fiend. Excellent health. An even better metabolism.
Sad that after all of these years he slipped back into bad habits. Ever since he and his wife split three years ago he has spiraled downward.
I pray he gets it together and the boys make one more for all of us Aerosmith fans out here.

Everybody relapses and Steven's been through much worse. With a bigger fanbase and the strength that Joe, Tom, Brad and Joey have for him that's stronger than ever, I'm sure this won't be difficult. Get well soon, Steven! "ROCKS" forever!
