Quirky New Yorker Wendy Kaufman is officially the ex-Snapple Lady, according to reports.

Kaufman was not feeling the new contract Snapple offered her and said adios!

The contract would have paid her for appearances without a promise that any would materialize, she said.

The ex-brandwhore stated, "I just couldn't accept the contract because it was so one-sided and worth nothing. It was an appearance contract based on whenever they felt like calling. I know they weren't calling me."

An exec tells Snapple's side of the story. He says, "The truth is, we offered her a fair contract for work performed instead of a guaranteed fee. It was her decision not to stay with Snapple and we respect that. We wish her nothing but the best in whatever she does in the future."

Kaufman's not crying at home, though. She's moved on to doing Motorola voiceover work.

And, there's always a career in porn!

This story actually broke over a week ago with an interview by Wendy on FOX News - how upset and embarrassed she was when they (Snapple) didn't even have the balls to talk to her about it. She found out through third party sources. She had that job for 19 years??! How shitty of them to treat their spokesperson so shabbily. Whatever their reason for letting her go, it speaks volumes as a company to treat your people that badly. And now you won't even tell her story properly. Well, we know you "care" Perez. HA! NOT!

I'm going to end this by saying "if you knew her the way we do, you would never have said such nasty, hurtful things…quite the contrary". We all should have been so lucky as to have had the opportunities and wonderful life that she's worked tirelessly for.

      she was on some show a couple months ago talking about that. why wouldn't she just take the contract? something is better than nothing. she said they were trying to cut costs which makes sense. she wouldn't say how much she was making. why are people so greedy? if you don't want to sign the contract just walk away instead of crying on national television. i am sure she was overpaid anyway.
