I should explain about Katie the Conservative - Katie has LONG been know to be a die-hard conservative - in the closet. Its no longer intellectually acceptable to be Conservative, so she pretends to be liberal — however, this is about as dopey as the the Bush cronies and their "hip-hop"."

I think that rather being so critical of Katie, we should be recognizing the good she is doing with her celebrity status and even the fact that she is hanging in there despite losing her husband. Lets not forget that this sillyness is for a good cause. Often you post links on your blog for readers to donate, this is Katie's way of promoting awareness and having fun. At least she seems like she wants to be there rather than the other celebrities who stay for a few pictures and leave. Its great to see Katie happy after tragically losing her husband. Thus, lets focus on the good, rather than the bad, especially in times when the world is such scary place and going through such economically hard times.

Barbara Walters went through the same thing and look how succesful she is. People are always overly critical of women in high-profile jobs like Katie has. They are either perceived as ditsy and soft or they are a 'bitch', which is the problem Hilary Clinton is facing.
