I don't think so. We are Stuck with paying 4 bucks a gallon for gas and our power bills are out of control but we need to take care of NYC!!! Don't worry about all of us country folk. Greedy Bastards!

windmills are a blight on the land and they slice and dice birds very well. Everyone wants windmills; but, not in their back yard. For example..Cape Cod…Ted Kennedy's backyard.

Al Gore is a televangelist for the sheeple in the green movement. Wind power is only good for sail boats not running 13 trillion dollar economies. Perez your taste in music sucks and is beyond gay and your politics are 100% gay agenda. Talk less politics and green bs and show more celebrity nipple slip cuz that is the only reason we checkin to this site for the occasional nipple slip.

are you crazy perez? Have you not heard of the butterfly effect? The moment we overpopulate with those windmills they will begin to change the winds and atmospheres around the earth, ending in catastrophic results. Do your research before you ask millions of people to support a dangerous cause. I would think that you would be more responsible about your posts, but I suppose not.

alternative energy source development and deployment is a wonderful thing.

"Global Warming", however, is a total SHAM. Seriously, how arrogant can we be to claim complete, infallible understanding of such an enormous, shifting and chaotic system. Thank goodness scientists are finally speaking out against the total scam that is "Global Warming".

These windmills are an eyesore. They take up landspace. We should be concentrating on solar energy.
They are not an answer for many reasons.

  23. avian mortality says – reply to this

    23

well i'm glad tba brought it up, even though it just ruined my day.

I WAS a pretty big proponent of these windfarms until about a minute ago after reading the audobon society's reports on how much avian death these windfarms are causing. Eagles, owls, birds of all kinds, killed in the thousands each year, especially in the Bay Area, CA / Altamont Pass Project.

If people knew that these windfarms had such a huge death toll per megawatt, they would never support it. A moratorium must be imposed until a design is penned and tested to prevent decimation of our bird populations!!!

Go search "windfarm avian mortality" and prepare to reverse your feelings as windfarms as "benign". This is sick (you can tell i'm a bird lover).

Global warming is a crock of crap! Lots of people are getting rich off this hysteria (e.g. Al Gore) Children are starving b/c grain and rice have doubled in price due to corn etc. being used for alternative fuel. People in Haiti are actually reduced to eating mud cakes to survive. GLOBAL WARMING IS A CROCK! Al Gore should eat mud cakes.

ONE course in basic marketing would help SO MANY people who buy into marketing ploys. It's amazing how many people waste money each year because they fell for marketing.

People need to do their own research and be responsible for themselves.

WE is a bunch of bullshit. They aren't helping anyone but themselves.

TED JENNEDY IS JUST JUST ANOTHER LIBERAL HYPOCRITE:
Self-proclaimed alternative energy proponent Sen. Ted Kennedy has strongly opposed an environmentally friendly "wind farm” off the coast of Massachusetts – and now it appears Kennedy will have his way.A proposal before Congress would limit the construction of wind turbines and most likely doom plans for the Cape Wind Project, the nation’s first offshore wind farm.
"This is a dire moment for us,” declared Mark Rodgers, a Cape Wind Associates spokesman, who said the proposal "would be totally fatal” for the project.
The Cape Wind Project would erect 130 windmills in Nantucket Sound and could provide three-fourths of the power needed by Cape Cod and nearby islands, which is now largely supplied by coal-fired plants.
But the project had a powerful enemy in Sen. Kennedy, who has voiced strong support for alternative energy projects – as long as they are not in his backyard.
Why, then, would Kennedy oppose the Cape Wind Project?
"The wind turbines would be built in Nantucket Sound, about six miles off the coast from the Kennedy compound in Hyannis,” Schweizer explains.
"The problem was not aesthetic; the Kennedys wouldn’t be able to actually see the turbines from their home. Instead Robert Kennedy Jr., who had been beating the drum for alternative sources of energy for more than a decade, complained that the project would be built in one of the family’s favorite sailing and yachting areas.

LIBERALS ARE THE PROBLEM NOT THE SOLUTION:
Then came the first of the Clinton administration's neoliberal wet dreams: NAFTA. After the passage of NAFTA, pollution along the US/Mexico border dramatically increased. And Gore should have known better; NAFTA allowed existing environmental laws in the United States to be undermined. Corporations looking to turn a profit by skating around enviro statutes at home moved down to Mexico where environmental standards and regulatory enforcement were scarce.

NOT TO MENTION THE GORE FAMILY'S STAKE IN OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM ET AL!

I can't believe all the people who believe in this 'global warming/climate control" propaganda! People, humans can't control the weather. There is nothing we did or can do to make the temperature of the Earth rise. Why is it so easy for people to thumb their noses at the christian faith when all that is asked it to believe in Jesus, but so many follow blindly behind Al Gore when he claims we're the cause of the destruction of the world. Al Gore, not to mention, flies the Concord alone which in one flight can fuel a family's vehicle for more than a year. Al Gore who lives in a mansion that no doubt is not environmentally friendly. People need to have faith in the man that has always had our backs instead of a man that's preaching bullsh*t that has not even been statistically proven, or agreed upon by EXPERTS in their respected fields.

Ask yourself, has anyone proven this theory to you or are you just listening to the media and politicians? I want to tell you right now for everyone who tells you there is a climate crisis and people are causing global warming there are as many scientists who will disagree! Please people stop just believing what you are being fed! Do your own research and come up with your own theory!!!!!!!!

    Part1:
    HOUSE # 1:
A 20-room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house all heated by gas. In ONE MONTH ALONE this mansion consumes more energy than the average American household in an ENTIRE YEAR. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400.00 per month. In natural gas alone (which last time we checked was a fossil fuel), this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home.

This house is not in a northern or Midwestern 'snow belt,' either. It's in the South.

  40. oldfart says – reply to this

    40

    Part2:
    HOUSE # 2:
Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every 'green' feature current home construction can provide. The house contains only 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on arid high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in winter and cools it in summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas, and it consumes 25% of the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system.

Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Flowers and shrubs native to the area blend the property into the surrounding rural landscape.

    Part3:
HOUSE # 1 (The 20 room energy guzzling mansion) is outside of Nashville, Tennessee . It is the abode of that renowned environmentalist Al Gore.

HOUSE # 2 (model eco-friendly house) is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas. Also known as 'the Texas White House,' it is the private residence of the President of the United States, George W. Bush.

So whose house is gentler on the environment?

Yet another story you WON'T hear on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC or read about in the New York Times or the Washington Post. Indeed, for Mr. Gore, it's truly 'an inconvenient truth.

Warm weather doesn't kill anyone, COLD weather does. The global population will fall in 40 years anyways. Chill out! (pun intended)

The general public is sooo uneducated on this subject. Read Bjorn Lomborg's book "Skeptical Environmentalist," you will change your views!

Do what you want- China and Korea and Japan and India will choke us all to death with their 25 million new drivers - the USA is the only country stuck doing all this crap. A couple of volcanoes erupt and fill the upper atmosphere and all your windmills won't matter. The earth pollutes itself more than humans do. I'm glad the state of Alaska is suing over all the damn pseudoscience that is shoved down our throats. Any researcher who disagrees has his FUNDING taken away. Only one side is being taught and the rest is ignored. That is ridiculous. We had the coldest spring in 30 years in the pacific northwest. Al Gore lied in his video- he used cgi from science fiction movies to show ice shelves falling into the ocean. It's crazy. Now the economy is affected- jobs are lost and industries CLOSED because of this MYTH. environmentalists like that should ENJOY paying more for gas. They are the cause of it. It means less driving! Just what they want.

Re: laura – I was out in the desert near Palm Springs yesterday. the Coachella Pass is one big wind farm, and I like it. I have taken visitors from around the world out there and most people don't mind it at all. There is something actually quite beautiful in the melding of earth and technology. However, maybe you like coal mines instead? Not aesthetically more pleasing in my mind. they do employ more humans though, so maybe that is a consideration?

It will be interesting in about 10 years when the evidenced is incontrovertable that there is no such thing as permanant Global Warming caused my Humans. The earth has been cooling for about 10 years (says NASA) and it is only the billion dollar wave created by greedy politicians (Gore) and hack college professors making a living with research grants that is keeping the hoax alive. Funny how 20 to 30 years ago Time magazine had a cover story devoted to the immediate devastation caused by Global COOLING. This is what happens when the school system fails. A country of schooled but uneducated idiots. Perez is one of them. A fun guy but an intellectual idiot. I wonder if Gore will give back his Nobel Prize. Kind of have a feeling he will just kind of slink away.
