Actually my mom would never do that. She loves us, but she would never do the whole stage mom routine. Sometimes I had wished she was more into harvesting my potential when I was younger. I say everything in balance and moderation and you really shouldn't live through your kids. I don't know the Lohans so I can't comment directly, but Ali does seem much older for her age. Probably has a lot to do with growing up in the atmosphere she has. Kids today grow up so fast in general though.

A "normal" mom would encourage her to feel good about her natural appearance and not let her wear more make-up than Marie Osmond (who is about 50 years older than her, but looks about the same).
