Don't say that dustin should have won, perez! I'm actually happy that almost none "joke" numbers advanced to the final. ESC is a serious competition, everybody should just stop block voting. But I don't really think it effected the outcome. Russia got votes from almost every country and I actually think it was a deserving winner! He's a cutie! Kalomira for Greece wasn't all that. Her voice was really lame even though it was a great song otherwise. My favourite was actually that italian song, era stupendo, don't remember which country it came from but it rocked! Exept from the guy who sung, so pitchy!!uhhh

Eurovision Songcontest used to be about the best song, not about the best act or best body. Although Dima scores quite nicely on that front since some pics have emerged on the surface from gay sites. Because of the gay hatred in Belgrad they suddenly were nowhere to be found on Dima's website.

anyway, ESC is a lost cause for good songs, it's more like a carnival every year. A disappointed ESC fan.

Eurovision should END! It is the WORST! It's just people voting for the county next to them and has NOTHING to do with which SONG IS THE BEST! I am an American living in Europe and if I wanted to waste my money, I would have voted for the TURKEY!

It's AWFUL! Watch one half hour of American Idol and you will notice how distorted and bizarre the costumes, songs, dance routines are on Eurovision. It's like a joke! A BAD joke at that. Sorry, but I can't believe it's even on t.v.
No one votes for anything besides their favorite countries. It's a complete waste of everyone's time! Also, there were places in there that aren't even part of Europe! But, my biggest complaint is the bad music. IT's the worst.

I'm from Latvia, "we" gave 12 points to russia . not because many Latvians liked that shiteous song but because there are about 800 000 fucking russian immigrants here, who voted for their bloody dima bilan. I agree that this contest is too politicized, but it's quite normal that neighbouring countries vote for each other - like ireland and uk, sweden and noway etc. the biggest problem is former yugoslavian republics (~6 of them) and ussr (russia, belarus, ukraine, sometimes the baltic states ) who have the worst songs, but they always are in top 10, because they just vote for each other. maybe it's just the fact that eastern europeans take this contest really seriously, but western europe just takes it easy like france, spain (awesome), ireland. anyhow, one thing is clear, the big 4 has to change the voting system of the eurovision song contest or get rid of about 20 lame countries.

Russia sucks. Russia has never become last on Eurovision Song Contest and that's becouse Eastern European countries vote for each other. I always laugh my head off when I watch this show. And BTW, that guy who presented Swedens votes was totally on drugs.

The eastern countries take it verry seriously, it's just that they have bad taste and doesn't know how to stop.
Some of the western countries doesn't take it seriously anymore because they never win (they say because of block voting I say poorly songs).
My country, Sweden (which is the most ESC fanatic country in this whole competition) is talking about if we should even be in it since we have no chance…I say of course we should! We just have to send better songs that just not we like but whole of europe could relate to and that is what russia and many off the other eatern countries send. SO see and learn west…just like I did!

If anyone thinks Russia won because of the quality song (and the violin guy, the shirt-ripping, and the… ice-skater, jesus) they're living in a dream world. Yes, that includes all the people thinking he was actually good. He may be the shit where you live, and you may own 15 autographed cd's by him, but that's not why he won, and you know it.

Anyway, the "real" contest is the preliminary and after that, well then you watch the major event to boggle at the freakshow everyone else sent. Being drunk helps.
