An Update

Patrick Swayze is doing well - or as well as one with pancreatic cancer can.
The actor has released a statement on his health and overall frame of mind, and he's keeping positive and reacting well to treatment.
Says the Dirty Dancing alum:
"Thought I'd give you guys a little update. Lisa and I have been back and forth from New Mexico enjoying the arrival of spring and new baby calves. This past weekend, we spent a fun time with friends in Reno for Lisa's birthday, where I took her jewelry shopping at Kenny G & Company and (we) were able to find her something really special and much deserved! In the meantime, I am continuing treatment at Stanford and the great news is I continue to respond well."

I don't feel sorry for him. He smokes an enormous amount. People that smoke are just asking for trouble. Smoking is disgusting and complete disrespect to your own body. He had it coming. I bet he hasn't even quit.

That statement is very vague. I think he still has a very hard fight in front of him. Prayers to him.
Thats good news! I just hope he will smarten up and stop smoking 3 packs a day. Thats INSANE!!! Well you are what you eat, and smoke, and drink and look whats happens. So sad.
I had the pleasure of meeting Patrick several times through mutual friends involved with the "horse" side of his life and ended up having dinner with him and his lovely wife Lisa when Patrick was looking at a horse I had for sale. A nicer, kinder and more spiritual person would be hard to find. My heart and prayers go out to him in his battle against cancer….
