If you were anywhere near a TV last week, you probably saw promos for the Memorial Day premiere of Dina Lohan's Living Lohan and Denise Richards' It's Complicated.
Well, E!'s marketing worked.
Both reality shows premiered to decent numbers.
But, of the two trashy reality whores, Denise Richards took the ratings cake!
That is surprising to us!
Richards' show scored a 1.57 household rating, meaning about 1.7 million households tuned in. (That number is good for E!)
Lohans' did a solid 1.46 household rating (roughly about 1.6 million households), which is up 50% from the time period a year before.
We hate to admit it, but we watched BOTH.
But, we did prefer the Lohan insanity to gold-digging Denise, who is such a bad actress. She needs to see an acting coach if she's gonna continue with the reality show!

The Lohan show is too late for young girls to watch, and it's a different targe audience so they screw the Lohan show when they place it AFTER the Denise show.

what happened was we turned in to see how bad it could be… and after sitting through denise's show, there was only *so much* we could take of the lohans. if the lohans had been first, they would have gotten the better ratings. both shows were total crap but like any trainwreck - its hard to look away.
I totally disagree with you perez, still love ya tho. I LOVED Denise Richards and completely could not stand watching the Lohans, Dina is so fricken nasty. At least Denise is beautiful, plus I found that I was able to connect to her better. The Lohans actually proved to me that they are EXACTLY who I thought they were. Denise actually impressed me, and my heart breaks for her & her dad. She had her dad move in with her so they could make it through a hard time, can't you give her credit for that. Plus her kids were in it for like 2 seconds. I don't blame her for doing the show because it does help what people will think of her. The Lohans on the other hand remind me of Britney & Kevin and how that made them look worse. I DVR'd both shows, the Lohans I didn't even watch all the way through, couldn't stand it.
I Liked the Denise Richards Show. I cant wait to see the rest of the season!!!!!
I watched both since there was nothing else on. Personally I thought both were pretty craptacular. Reality TV has hit a new low.
I feel quite certain that Dina Lohan is mentally ill and poor Ali is going to be a mess and never satisfied when she is older. She has no concept of life's real meaning or core values. She will always be looking for the next thing and never satisfied. Sad.

I loved the Denise Richards show- I was so surprised I like it - she is much funnier than I anticipated - and the entire house for of animals - makes is more real - she's not a stuffy uptight Hollywood prima donna.
Good luck Denise - and next round of doggies try and make sure to include some pound rescues or your local HSUS animal shelter - so many good animals could use a loving home like yours ;0)

When you use the term actor and writer, perhaps the use of a dictionary would help so you would then know that these two, and their writers, do not fit the bill by definition.

Denise's show was much much better. She is pretty and the kids are adorable. It seemed like a family show not much unlike the Snoop Fatherhood or Kimora Simmons show. I have no interest in watching Dina Lohan and Ali piggy back off Linday's fame. Lindsay's star is fading and she needs to take her family with her into obscurity. Interesting that anyone liked the Lohan show better. It put me to sleep… literally

Hey, Dina! It follows that you read this. I watched the show through one commercial set. I'm 47 years old. Here's the thing. You produced a great looking daughter in Lindsey. She's got "it". She's good. In the '60's, she would've fit right in, and maybe she even has a bit of the free spirit instilled in her by you. That's cool!
But, here's the thing. You don't have it, and neither does Aliana. You're too high key. You're manic when there's no need. I don't know if the kid can sing. I know Lindsey is quite able. I spent 20 years in the record business, too. So anyway, yeah, lose the act. You're not "Nancy Botwin". She has "it", the elusive, magical, stellar superstar aura. So let this show blow over and give Aliana some more time to develop. Originality is key these days. That, and looks, and unfortunately, you and I are of the age that we need to tone it down. It's too bizarre that you channel your daughter! Be you, but be mellow. I tell you this because your show is not good. It's just not. Luckily, the public has become very forgiving. So give it time. Admittedly, I tuned in out of boredom while getting a manicure, just to see what Denise was really like. She seems like a total asshole. The show did nothing to improve my opinion of her. She came off like a complete haughty bitch and it left me wondering how she even gets laid, let alone married.
I checked out the Lohan show too but it bored me and switched channels after 10 minutes. The mom seems like some asshole trying to still be young and live through her kids. It didn't interest me to see her trying to sell off her show ponies (the kids). It's a major conflict of interest for people trying to manage their own kids in showbusiness. You can't be someone's boss/business partner AND their family. Family and business do not mix well. People like that spend more time making money off the people and less time having a proper relationship with them. No wonder the kids are fucked up.

Denise had a lot of sensational press leading up to the show so I'm not surprised it did well but the 2nd week really tells if a show is a hit. Buzz get people to tune in but the actually show determines if people will stick around. I haven't seen either show but most people said they are both trainwrecks. But reality shows have good trainwrecks and bad. A lot of people said Denise was a bad trainwreck and The Lohans was really good. I wouldn't be surprised if Lohans did better nextweek and Denise's show plummets.
I'm not going to lie, I tuned in to watch them, but I only got through the first 10 minutes of Denise's show, and the first 5 minutes of the Lohan's show. I wanted to take a fork and pluck my eyes out. I could feel my brain cells melting.
