Is Ugly Betty really going to be turned into a musical?

Well, according to series star Michael Urie, it is!

In a recent radio interview with the UK's Heart, Urie said, "They do want to do an "Ugly Betty" musical, a full-on Broadway musical, but it’s all hush-hush."

And as for the stars to play them on stage, Urie adds, "I think it would be great, and they should use the cast from the show. I think we would all do it, although we maybe don’t dance and sing as well as professional singers and dancers. I think it would be fun for us to do it for a while, and then they could get real people in."

Interesting. We're almost tempted to go see it.

As for possibly doing an episode of Ugly Betty as a musical, Urie says, "They definitely want to do an episode that is a musical one, but then they want to do a full stage show. I think it’s a great idea. It would definitely work.”

Urie also commented on Victoria Beckham's appearance on the show, as well as David Beckham's on-set visit.

He says, "I think everyone who worked on the show popped in at some point or another to just look at them because they are so gorgeous. They brought their gorgeous Beckham spawn also. They are so adorable, the little boys. It was fun. She’s just great. She’s teeny tiny, she’s so hot, and she’s sweet, sweet, sweet! They gave me some Beckham cologne. It was a nice parting gift. She’s the only guest star who’s ever been on the show and given gifts!”

Yea, VB should have been giving out her jean collection, cuz you know no one is willing to pay for it!
